Also… does the “Still” do anything? I can’t seem to make any alcohol except cider from apples, and that doesn’t even require it.
I’m lacking a source of medicinal alcohol at the moment. Version 7.1
Apple cider ingame now isn’t an alcoholic cider.
It’s an american name for juice. Apple juice.
For an American, “Apple Juice” is a sugary viscous liquid that mostly small children drink, cider is pressed apples, and hard cider is what you’re thinking of.
Speaking of armour, how does one best armour a vehicle? Do you need to make multiple layers of frames and put metal plates on each one?
Also how do you use the Blades and spikes (not spiked plating)?
And how about incoming bullets? I’m not clear on how well metal plates protect the driver. I suppose you’re basically screwed if someone shoots your windscreen?
Ye gods, DG.
THATS FUCKING BRILLANT
+1 internet cookie to DG.
As for the blades/spikes, put them on the front of your car. They do not require a frame or board.
I’m still a bit lost as to using frames. Why are there so many different shapes to choose from when building one on the vehicle? Isn’t the functionality identical?
Speaking of can’t see through them, what’s the deal with turrets on a vehicle shooting the driver of said vehicle?
And just how exactly would you go about making a vehicle that you can see out of which you can’t get shot while driving?
Is that even possible?
AND HOW THE HELL DID A WOLF JUST GET INTO MY RV?
It seems enemies can come through the wall, at least where my solar panels are. But I have boards up so why did that happen?
Note that I have it parked at a slightly odd angle so the solar panel tiles are diagonal from each other. Perhaps that’s why I and the wolf could move through the “gap” diagonally. But this seems stupid.
Am I doing something wrong? There’s no “roof” on the same tile as the board, but should there be?
Maybe I do need the double thickness walls…
Also, regarding windshields… you can place them with steel plating on the same tile, right? So you end up with what? Effectively see through armour?
Or not?
Uh, just joined the forums (this version of the forms, used to be on the old ones). Just explored my first mine, and I’m kind of lost. I had the spiral thingy and just got the vortex stones, used them, and threw the rocks at them until they died. Is that it? No cool boss or sweet loot?

I’m trying to get some rear visibility on my RV…
I swear, Cataclysm is one of the few games that can kill you as easy in the beginning as it can much later on. I had the fusion blaster and was wiping out a Fema camp, I switched weapons to the Law rocket launcher and fire at a group of Zs but 1 of the soldier Zs just walked right through the blast and was chasing me down until it killed me.
