You did not have anything to melee?
I had a crowbar but it was practically useless. Also suggestion for anyone, never ever raid a Fema camp unless you happen to have a flame thrower or a car to ram straight through every thing.
Really? I have raided many FEMA camps with my bow characters.

How to I repair a Kevlar vest? I have Kevlar plates, but idk what to do with them.
You need the plates and soldering iron.
Alternatively you can have a throwing skill of 11+ and a pile of rocks (20+), only problem is that you sometimes have to circle around and pick up your rocks again, so you’d want to have Fleet Footed and/or Quick traits.
Takes about 3-6 rocks per zombie at high skills, depending on your dexterity and encumbrance.
Or a WRENCH
No really, those things are an awesome starting weapon and a great reason to chose the wannabe mechanic
Plus they make you look like the Engineer
I must have missed it, but when did wide wheels get changed to activate traps? Is there a reason to use wide wheels now? I’m using the nightly build.
How can i put knives in boots? Can’t see any option for that through item menu.
IIRC you have to (a)pply your boots.

Doesn’t that just eat them?
…no.
WHAT.
WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS, DEVS? WHYYYY? My wonderful RV, ruined!
Indeed, so many prospective semis had their tires ruined from this.
I guess our tears must really be delicious
Speaking of vehicles, what determines whether you can see through a tile?
I tried adding windshields at the back of the RV. I cannot see through them. There are two individual windshield tiles with a welding rig between them.
When I did the same thing with two windshield tiles on either side of a door on the inside of the vehicle, I can see through them just fine.
Removing the steel plating on the tiles didn’t help.
I think welding rigs still have some sight line issues. The first time I installed one, it blocked vision. This next time it worked fine and didn’t obscure anything.
Also, I tried to search for it but is/was there a discussion thread about the changes to wide tires? Not wanting to harp on it, but that change was more of a shock than finding out vehicles are now made of paper mache and glass.
Boards, mainly.
In the nightly builds Acid rain and drizzle have the capability to destroy items in outside tiles, items in this case also including you. This renders funneling useless because the containers get destroyed.
However collecting that acid is essential for acid-based crafting products, so this is what you do:
Set up a funnel inside a vehicle, preferably your designated kitchen RV.
Drop a steel jerrycan or preferred large container on the tile with the funnel trap.
???
Profit! (and or batteries)
Sleeping near an active funnel usually turns the funnel-collected water into acid, so one neat trick is to park your DKRV near a pool (watch out for them swimmers), so that the RV kitchen unit is less than 3 tiles away from the water, position yourself inbetween of these two crafting components and enjoy your clean water (fresh) (hot).
Boards, mainly.
So… if I want to make a vehicle that I can see out of that enemies cannot get into, I should do what?
Put in windows on tiles with steel plating but no “board”? And make sure that the welding rig isn’t near the windows?
