Thanks for the help guys. Unfortunately I didn’t get to test the ghost corpse in the seat thing. I ran into it with the semi I found and pushed it about twenty tiles into a forest with a ton of webs all over lol. I highly doubt anything good can come from that place.

You could build a stone fireplace or dig pits if you really want to get easy light
To read in the night you can use the starting shelter terminal (it produces enough light to read by). I use a modified shopping cart that has headlights and that I drag everywhere I go
Or just use lightstrip? Easy to craft, last forever.

Brazier doesn’t prevent smoke. (At least not in the stable version.)
I’d suggest making a rock fireplace. Just activate autopickup for rocks until you get 40 of them (or clear some rubbles). Much more stylish.
Yeah, braziers create crazy amounts of smoke from only a single skewer right now.
None of it seems to be thick though, so as long as you’re wearing a dust or filter mask you should be fine.
Anyway, real men build a wood stove. Out of a gas tank, a pipe and some other stuff. BBQ like a boss.

What exactly does it fire as ammo? I mean… I assume from the name that in real life it would be some kind of nail gun thing that would fire metal bolts.
But I don’t know of any such item in game. So does it use crossbow bolts, or what?

Well, with the rifle you have a low ammo cap (15) and are firing pebbles at people (which has low damage) but the rifle does have a burst fire mode. With the bolter, you are firing wooden crossbow bolts (unless you found a bunch of steel crossbow bolts or Kevin did something with craftable crossbow bolts) that do about 10 damage. The bolter does have a low ammo cap (8) unless you found a few gun mods. I like the bolter personally, because its easy to craft ammo from two by fours and looks cool in my imagination.

The armour values on the wiki are wrong.
The kevlar vest says it has … 22 cut protection and 4 bash protection.
It ACTUALLY has 36 bash, 72 cut.
I imagine the same applies to the protection values of the spider exoskeleton mutation. No wonder I thought it looked like crap on the wiki. Says it gives you +8 cut protection. What is it really?
And what’s with the incorrect values? Was the whole damage system overhauled?
Not sure on the spider mutation, but it might be correct.
Clothing’s always going through changes, mutations not so much.

Also… does the “Still” do anything? I can’t seem to make any alcohol except cider from apples, and that doesn’t even require it.
