Anyone know what influences persuade chance for NPCs? I have two NPCs with similar opinion values, but with wildly different persuade chances.

Visible mutations is one I can think of. One of the NPCs might be a pro-mutant or the other one is a mutant hater. Got mutations?

Also if you’ve performed quests for the other NPC, that tends to, uhhh, raise their opinion of you but I’m not sure if that’s conveyed in the opinion values.

FWIW I remember that the opinion values don’t matter much, or they change rather unpredictably. They’re possibly broken.

Guide says “You need 18 to bash down walls with 2-by-sword or 11 to use a quarterstaff. You have (str+bash-29) in 180 chance to break a wall with each hit, where “bash” is BASE bash damage (reinforcing and chipping doesn’t count), so low strength will heavily slow down the process.”

What is my “bash” stat? Where do I look for it?

weapon damage in bash.

So a weapon with 10 bashing (a nail board) is a 10.

idk. at some point Im able to take a fire axe or a sledge hammer or morningstar and smash up walls.

Thats what the sledge hammer excells at. wall breaking, not combat.

Hey guys, my current survivor has lived almost a year, has a luxury solar RV with a welding rig, cargo spaces, electric forge, even a slingshot cannon. I’ve got armour, i’ve got weapons too, more ammo than i know what to do with actually.

This is the farthest i’ve ever gotten, and i dont exactly know what to do next. She’s sporting even an integrated toolset with joint torsion ratchets, both of which i harvested from zombies.

Ontop of that, i was also wondering how to get clay mounds, if you have to dig those out from shallow water, then extract? Or do you just find them, because i’ve never seen one.

Just curious, but can the latest experimental science lab outer walls be destroyed by fire? I tried for a while, but it always keeps extinguishing. It took dynamite to bust through it, and many attempts.

How do I figure out what kind of weapon I need to break down the wall?

Str + Bash - 29 / 180 means you need at least a 30 total combined damage to break it. If you have 8 strength, you need 22 Bashing and lots of patience to get that 1/180 chance. If you have 15 strength, you will need 15 bashing. For a two-by-sword you will need 18 strenth, but a homewrecker which you could also craft would only need a 2 strength.

To the best of my knowledge lab walls are inflammable, though if you get “lucky” with a quest you could always get a jabberwock to spawn right next to you outside the lab. Whatever else, it will most certainly make an exit as it breaks in to tear you apart. Generally I hope to get lucky from a teleporter before having to challenge either turret or solid wall to escape, but at least you’ll get some rebar out of it.

1. I’ve read a book that had CBM recipes in it but I still have no way to make any CBMs… why?
2. I out of a sudden lost the ability to repair any car parts… why? All the tools are still there.

To the best of my knowledge lab walls are inflammable

The walls were changed from flammable to inflammable few months ago.
The inflammable walls are concrete and thus non-bashable (by humans with human tools).

I am considering doing a Stats Through Skills run on the newest experimental. Are there any tips on playing with it or bugs that come with it?
Also, did the limits to bionics get fully implemented and are they removable if they’re in effect? I rather enjoy stuffing myself with all the stuff I can handle if I can find it, so while having to make the choice between things is neat, I find it to be less fun.

I’d be open to suggestions for a little bit harder settings for my world as well. Not too far, as I’m not super good at the game, but a little more difficulty can’t hurt in helping me improve/offsetting my wanton use of excessive amounts of CBMs.

   1.you need to have requisite skills like elctronics and mechanics
   2.you may have run out of batteries or juice for welders/torch
