Needless to say, I do not think that the repeating crossbow fits the modern definition or qualifications for ‘SMG’.
The ammo is significantly heavier, arcs a lot more, has a generally shorter range, has less overall power, and doesnt fire pistol caliber rounds at super or sub-sonic speeds.
In practice it is much closer to a bow or, suprise, a crossbow than an SMG. If you want a magic gun that fires arrows make a mod, dont sabatoge the games core guns.

I do not agree with the decision to make crossbows use gun skills. The choice of which skill is used by the repeater seems to be based on a vague resemblance between the tactics described in the wiki page and submachine gun tactics as understood by whoever made the repeating crossbow use the smg skill.
If you are talking to me, why do you think I want to sabotage the game?
Well, basic co-op servers are already possible (Bay12 was running one for a while, don’t know if it’s still up, but they posted instructions), it’s just that you can’t directly interact with each other (and you can sometimes get weird time-shenanigans going down).
Honestly a bigger problem is cases like sleeping or crafting. Even if the server automatically advanced 1 tick every 2 seconds or so that still means that unless you and everyone else on the server is sleeping/crafting/waiting then it’s essentially pointless to try, since you’d need to start it up and then come back 8 hours later.
So how different are the experimental builds to the stable? I downloaded the stable ages ago, but now I’m curious as to if it’s worth starting a new world to play on the experimental.
Go experimental for sure. More content, harder game-play,much more to find, new enemy’s and many more.
Experimental runs realty smooth on my machine with no crashes or mayor bugs.[/quote]
So it’s actually got a whole bunch of changes and content, and it’s not just the small tweaks I assumed it would be? When does an experimental become the stable, anyway?

Oh, and another thing, is crafting speed influenced by focus/morale? If not, is there any other way to increase crafting speed?
I simply often get poisoned by those asshole spiders a lot and it becomes impossible to hit them due to huge penalties to everything… and i think my survivor, who can make crack and meth, should be able to craft antivenom… or get it from vet clinics or something.
