For instance I added my space marine stuff to prisons as a rare drop, they happily share space with the default stuff

So I gathered some hard liquor and the plan was to craft some molotov cocktails with it. I have the recipe for it but it doesn’t accept liquor except ethanol. Wiki and item browser list wiskey, vodka… as ingedients.
Is there an extra recipe for molotovs with the drinkable stuff?

Recent Experimental change, Im afraid. Im kind of with you. Id like to say I know what alcohol of various purities will burn like/do, but I dont.

Would it be reasonable to make a ‘more reliable molotov’ and a ‘less reliable molotov’, one that uses ethonal/denatured crap and one that use strong drink?

I think it would. Liquor with more than ~60% alcohol will burn instantly and as a explosive flame when used in an molotov cocktail. So would ethanol.
The most hard liquors in game have about 40% (vodka, whiskey, gin). They will burn but not as quick as higher concentraded fluids. It’s like you drink a sambuca in a bar. There you have about 40% alc but it burns after a while. Thats because the liquor gets warmer, the alcohol evaporates till a specific level and then the gas catch fire… Drink gets warmer, more gas, more fire. …

Such a second level molotov cocktail could only break after throwing and after some clicks it will inflame without any kind of explosion. With that this second type is easier to craft, but has also a chance to fail igniting which is the case if the burning rag isn’t long or close enough to the alcohol.

How common is denatured alcohol in game?

It should be common enough for the change to not matter, since its frequently used for cleaning/starting fires/disinfecting so i’d expect every odd house to have some of it.

Perfumes also have a lot of alcohol content (80%-90% in most cases) so you could also use those. And I’d expect the majority of houses to have some.

Denatured alcohol can be found in most medical facilities, included relatively commonly in labs.
ethanol and DA can be found in liquor stores, usually 2-x bottles. They arent uncommon, but a player who doesnt have a Liquor store nearby or doesnt have the luxery of getting there or finding them in bathrooms will be sad. Torches are the bare minimum for reusable light for a survivor. Restricting them to specific alcohol makes it that much harder for a new player/poor character while not actually hurting people later.

Plus it isnt terribly unreasonable to use strong booze for it in a pinch.

My question!

Can I set random NPC wanderer classes? Could I create a ‘wandering merc’ class of NPCs who actually wander around?

Hey guys, i’m wondering if bionics contradict mutations at all? for example can you have mutations and also have bionics, or is that not allowed?

Not yet, but soon it could be implemented so that you cant just cram things in.

So, longtime lurker, finally made an account because I had a question.

To preface this, I injected a like a gallon of slime serum until I got Omnicellular and didn’t know much about it. Is it supposed to activate every time I eat enough food/drink enough water? Can I never be full/slaked again?

When I debugged myself slime, it seemed that way. You can’t get full or slaked without going back to hungry/thirsty.

I found a portal generator… what exactly does it do? I don’t want to die just because i used an ancient artifact of doom from other dimension the wrong way…

What do they do? What do they spawn? How fucked will i be if i use it?

I’ve never tried just “using” one (I assume it would make a shimmering portal? Those are useless at this point), but they are one of the items required to make a stabilized portal (Vehicle Parts Pack mod), which is just plain AWESOME.

ive noticed my that low moods have become absolutely crippling here is what my current stats from the save file are:

its been worse than this, when my character was depressed her stats were:

my question is this a feature or just a bug?

Have you ever had a headache and then had to do something that required focus and thought? its pretty crippling.

There was a bug with temperature morale calculations.
What are your morale effects?

been running about a bit, basically my char is now 0 in all stats (using pain damp to get rid of the pain from overburdened) but is still able to destroy everything under the sun

That "bonus" : -6748 shouldn’t be this huge.
What type of bonus is it? I mean, in the ‘v’ menu.
If it is cold/hot, you need to update the game.

I don’t know if anyone can help me but I can not for the life of me figure out how to change the font. I really want to use a square font but no matter what I do it just remains on the default. I’m on Ubuntu 14.04 and I’ve tried all the instructions linked in the relevant section of the A Mod List thread in The Lab.

What exactly is J-9 that everybody keeps whispering about in hushed whispers? Some kind of end-game monster?

A challenge where you spawn 3x3 block of jabberwocks on self. Actually not that hard, since jabberwocks can’t do much against armor.
