The natural way

Its got to have its own overmap terrain entry and its got to have a marking in the region map setting file.

You may or may not be able to put it into the mapgen file. I know you can put the overmapterrain entry into the mapgen file.

Does modding a gun before mounting in on a vehicle affect anything?

I recently moved my base and now my minions wont go back to guard duty and now they all pretty much dislike me at 20-30% down from the upper 60-70% chance… Is there a way to force them to do guard duty or a way to force them to like me again, besides raising speech and doing their quests and feeding them?

Second question, why does asking them to do guard duty and failing have such a huge penalty?

Not sure, but for some reason the original author made it cause permanent dislike instead of timeout. I lowered it - it was worse before.
Not sure what to replace it with. Probably no penalty, but disabled if the NPC is hungry or something like this.

Hello there.

So currently I’m using experimental 4668 and realize that I can’t pour any liquid to a watertight item like Tin Can, Pot etc. that placed on the floor anymore, but before(I forgot which experimental version) I can do that. Is this feature removed, or maybe this was a bug?

By the way sorry, I have a difficulty to understanding some of the change log update.

Thanks before.

You should still be able to pour liquids into pots, but not into cans.
Though make sure they’re not on vehicles but on the ground - pots won’t hold liquid when placed on a vehicle.

Oh

Those vehicles that spawn with frames and armor but no quarterpanels along their front side.

Do they do more damage or take less? A line of spikes will prevent things from bouncing off a car, and it seems to make those quarterpanelless area redundant.

I just figured out you can apply saline solution/drops to instantly clear vision loss from boomer bile. Now I’m wondering, is there any way to likewise cure coughing from a smoker? Cough syrup doesn’t seem to work, but perhaps it just shortens the timespan instead of stopping it immediately. I’m not sure…

I would assume that is the purpose for oxygen tanks, though they also work well as a simple “stimulant.”

Found a 2-way radio, and in it’s description it says that I could send out a general SOS or send a direct message to my faction…I know NPC’s aren’t close to being finished yet but have factions been implemented??? I don’t currently have any followers so I can’t really tell. Although I crank up NPC dynamic spawns so hopefully won’t be long until I have a follower. Or have a simple flamethrower torch me and my safehouse.

Factions are barely started, the two way radio is an ancient item that was never implemented.

There’s a quest for a static NPC to get some number of two-way radios. 10 maybe? I don’t remember for sure. That’s the only use for them that I know of, other than parts and/or skill grinding.

Gotcha! Well for now it’s good for welding batteries.

Also, do you guys ever use shock absorbers when building your death wagons?

what they do anyway?

I would assume they absorb (hence the name) impact damage from collisions with things like zombies, walls, other vehicles, etc. Or at least mitigate some of the damage.

Nope. They act as a standard armor with durability of 1500 which is better than everything but mil. composite.

Are the NPC companions refreshing their inventories?

It seems most noteable when I ‘leave’ them, either as a guard so I can do something, or when they are sleeping in the car and I go raiding.

Huh. You learn something new everyday. And is it reasonable that I like to just move around cities to get treads from vehicles instead of building them (they take FOREVER to make, and those are just the normal ones, not the reinforced)?
