Yes. There is raider outposts and refugee centers that have NPCs inside. So if you turn off the NPC, the building is also likely to disappear.
NPC’’ are cool, they give you missions and telling world lore.
I modified a amour truck that came with a .50 gun installed in front of the windshields.

It got ammo and I activate it in the control settings but it doesn’t seem to shoot.

It works now, but initially it did not. Perhaps the visibility did not update immediately.
I had to walk in, and then back out (open and shut) the door to make it see through on my RV.
Found some marbles so I made a slingshot but for some reason I can’t shoot pressing the F button, checked everything but nothing happens, is this a bug from experimental or did i miss something? the same thing happens for bows.
minimap can be disabled by ctrl+n or shift+n (i do not know what keys toggle it) and layout of sidebar can be changed in options
The issue if the status bar is at the bottom 
Dont look at me; I dont even know how you guys get the minimaps to begin with. I might be convinced to get one if it covers all I cant see; otherwise I can get enough out of the default hud.
It comes when you download the tiles version of the game instead of the console version. I usually download tiles just for the minimap then turn the tileset off to play in ASCII or use one of the stylized ASCII tilesets
i play tiles for sounds, i do not like that minimap (i rarely use it) i just disable tiles and use ascii

too late, In my frustation I threw my marbles against a hulk and smashed me against a wall in a toxic sarcophage and set off the explosives, then i ragequit.
I’ll download next experimental tomorrow hoping the slingshot/bow bug is fixed.
