How rare is the close combat CBM? I assumed that they’re dropped by bio-operators, but I tested it and spawned 200 bio-ops and none of them dropped one. Does it still exist?
Yes, but they have low weights. They’re as rare as monoblade, scent vision and speed bionics.
So someone stated in some other thread that dynamic spawn mode has been disabled, and I’m a bit confused. I’m playing on a recent (2-3 days) experimental and the option to set static spawns to false still exists. Well, I did set static to false, hoping for a change of pace, but if what this person said is true this option apparently does nothing and I’m still playing with static spawns… This possibly appears to be the case, my character is only a few days in and cleared out a very small town, but no new Z’s are spawning.
What. What heresy is this? D:
Here’s the thread in question; http://smf.cataclysmdda.com/index.php?topic=12047.msg265977#msg265977
Relax skippy.
There is no longer an option to enable dynamic spawns. I could be mistaken that there was ever an option, but . . . I dont think so.
I never even use dynamic spawns, but still. ;w;
But there has always been an option to set static spawns to false, still is. I’ve always assumed that disabling static is the option to enable dynamic, static and dynamic being opposites and all…
I’m still confused
Back in the day, there was an actualy option to enable dynamic spawn. It was seperate from static spawn, and there was no ‘wandering’ spawn.
Im guessing that dynamic spawn is the default mode now. And that its the reason suddenly zombies in front of us.
Wat. Static’s the default though. :V

What if wanderers and static are off?
That’s how you’re supposed to enable the old-school dynamic spawn, which is separate from hordes mode.
What do I need to wear to avoid my legs getting burned off around acid zombies?
Not wading in acid, obviously. o3o
Alternatively, a hazmat suit. Apparently turnout boots and trousers also give modest protection from acid.
Leg and feet clothing with:
[1] Acid protection
[2] Enviornmental protection
1 makes you take less damage overall in acid
2 makes you take less damage over time in acid
Damage from acid per turn increases the longer you are in acid.
Look for things made of leather or plastic. Or nomex.
Am I imagining it or did the neoprene arm sleeves become unrepairable. needle and thread doesn’t do it, nor the soldering iron, nor a basic repair kit. I’m pretty sure i was able to fit them and repair them just a few updates back.
From what I can see, my best bet is rubber boots followed by survivor wetsuit boots. I think I’ll go for the wetsuit boots, but they need swimming booties to make and I need to find some first.
Swimmers drop those pretty often.
killed near hundred of it and still no. Dont see them in any games(
Hmm. Meanwhile I’m pleasantly surprised to discover that wearing a shield doesn’t preclude the use of fingertip razors.
