Here is evidence:
Me killing a hulk with a law doing 1312 dmg.
Direct hits royally fuck almost anything up, it’s the kaboom itself that’s underwhelming. ;w;
And I see some signs that a few game messages still haven’t been translated…
Hence why i stated that he most likely missed the target. And i noticed the weak effect of the explosion because i got caught in it
But if we asume a realistic explosion. How many atmospheres of preasure should a wave emited from the explosion of a LAW rocket have ?
If theres no shrapnel thats the only thing that would hurt you. Maybe its weak effect is justified.

About the translation. It never got better- Actually i think it is now worse then ever befor.
I’m not sure. It has been mentioned that the explosion would be a tad underwhelming compared to a hand grenade. From what I’ve seen on Github, the work on explosion damage and a few other things might alter this soon.
I still like my law. I obliterated a Hulk!
The last time i used the law befor this test use was when i one hit killed a tank drone from a huge distance. I must have landed a very lucky hit i guess.
O.o what was your launcher skill back then???
I haven’t tried this, as I’ve had caster wheels available the few times I thought about it, but you can easily drag a 2-square cart, so you could make it 2 squares and put wagon wheels on both of them… I think that would work (could be wrong).
Also, the unicycle thing being “stable” is stupid. Even it it was stable, there’s no reason you couldn’t do the same thing with a car wheel (and it really ought to be MORE stable, as it’s wider).
Having some way to make casters (or some kind of very small wheel set) would be nice.
I still don’t know how to cook meat or tan hides from an animal I’ve butchered.
…derp. Search the crafting menu? Ye olde “&” by default?
Cured pelts/hides need salt, level 1 survival, level 1 cooking. Other tab, materials sub-category.
Cooked meat needs a fire (or hotplate, or various other things), a cooking quality of 1 (skewers, pot, etc), and no skills. Food tab, meat sub-category.
when in doubt get survival/fabrication/related skill to what you are trying to do up a level or two.
Pretty sure there’s a book with the tanning recipes in. Might be in a couple of them actually.
Also here’s a tip/trick: If you’ve got a book with a recipe you can’t yet learn… As long as your skill is close enough and you have the book with the recipe in nearby you can still try to craft the item even if you don’t meet the skill level. You’ll probably fail a few times first though, so don’t try it with the last of your precious store of plutonium/cake/gunpowder/etc.
Speaking of traps (someone mentioned a few pages back), what ever happened to snares? I remember using them to catch rabbits and squirrels and such.
They got dummied out due to a mixture of bugs and questionable use. ;w;
0 as far as i know. It could have been at 3 from skillbooks but i forgot.
Speaking of traps I saw on another thread (current vehicle projects) that evilexecutive put pits, blade traps, bear traps, etc around his fortified mansion. Might try that later on.
Has anyone tried reinforcing windows with metal bars? Are they viable? Will they let zombies through?
General reinforcement of doors and windows, I’m wondering if they’re viable in staving off hordes.
Speaking of hordes, are they fixed in the current version or are they still overpowered?
When hulks, huge boomers, ferral predators, and such start showing up are they permanate or seasonal?

Well, IIRC, you can’t reinforce windows with metal BARS, but with metal PLATES, which can obviously lower light levels in whatever room you want to protect. No idea about how strong such reinforcements are, but I’m pretty sure that they will break rather soonish, given enough zombies.

So far, they’ve worked pretty well for me in helping to stave off hordes. Reinforced Doors can only be smashed down by Hulks it seems, and the Armored Windows with metal bars can also only be destroyed by Hulks. All of the common rabble is helpless to do more than pound on them, .
As for hordes in the current version? They’re TERRIFYING. Or at least, when playing on 10x spawns like I do. They are pretty much guaranteed to kill any unprepared survivor, even skilled players early on. My main methods of dealing with them even late game usually involves carrying around Blade Traps in my shopping cart(They’re horrifyingly Overpowered), and using them to create portable kill zones
If you’re looking to make a really quickly fortifiable position when dealing with an incoming horde, Chapels can be reinforced for cheap, as they usually are made of Rock(Hulk smashable only), and there’s usually no more than 2, or 4 doors all on the exterior. The wood you need to reinforce the doors can be obtained by disassembling the pulpits.
