Just don’t kill the queen (or even go looking for it - once in a while, the ant hill doesn’t HAVE a queen, but as long as you don’t try to find it, the game doesn’t realize that…)
I think you just have to have a rubber hose and a container, then you go to the vehicle panel for the thing you want to siphon from, highlight the tank you want to siphon, and hit S.
Also a good way to get sheet metal and other crap is to fix and remove parts from abandoned cars. If you could find any sort of big armored truck to take apart that would put you on your way.
You need a rubber hose in your inventory, easily found by dismantling a fridge. Sheet metal can be found by removing normal boards or quarterpanels from vehicles, or by dismantling lockers.
M4A1 has less volume and weight, faster reload time, and slightly higher damage for some stupid reason. AR-15 has better accuracy and recoil.

Alright, I was thinking of converting one of the AR-15s I found into a DMR of sorts, so that’s good to know.
Yeah I think you might be screwed.
What is going on that you’re dependant on stationary honey?
Basically I’m in the middle of nowhere in winter and although I did find a road I don’t have a vehicle yet.
The only places nearby to explore are a hazardous waste sarcophagus (nooooope…) a bee hive, two mansions I already cleared out, my LMOE shelter, and a FEMA camp.
There seems to be bugger all wildlife around compared to my previous games. With the exception of bees. Lots of bees. I don’t seem to get much meat from them, compared to when I used to hunt deer. Odd since they weigh 40kg each.
I will be in trouble when my ammo runs out. Currently I’m hunting them with a flintlock carbine I found.
Oh and I found a CBM on some dead drug dealers… The one I really don’t want. Bloody Fusion blaster arm.
Converting my VW Beetle into a deathmobile with 40" caterpillar treads from the farm tractor I had.
Any advice on what else the vehicle needs?
Armor on every square, even if it’s just sheet metal. Multiple fuel tanks so you can stock up, lined up along the centerline of the vehicle to protect them from damage. Reinforced windshield. Curtains on the doors and windshield so you can break line-of-sight with monsters. Cargo units on every free square so you can tote a lot of crap around.
Then just add lights, cameras, guns, etcetera as they become available to you. Get a kitchen unit and welding rig in there.
The LMOE was my starting location and while there’s some stuff left in there it’s void of anything immediately useful.
The FEMA camp is where I’d head if I had clothing which would keep me warm without making me unable to wield a weapon properly.
That’s kind of a problem right now. I need a huge amount of layers to keep above 0 degrees in body temperature. The camp is really quite far to the north, too.
Oh, one other thing. I found an artefact, but it’s a “glowing rod”. I think I’m right in saying I should avoid touching that because it’s radioactive, right?
Here not sure where to put it but it seem the KSG’s internal mod can be removed and lumped on to another shotgun… by the 'u’nloading removing mods when it out of ammo…(i really starting to hate that having to keep putting my mods back on due to forgetting to unwield the gun when attempting to unload stuff on the ground…)
ofc…here now wonders why it a underbarrel rather then a mechasism
