yeah, i did that and killed the rat king and all the rats too. What else should i expect now? What happened?[/quote]
Rat king has a move that mutates you.

Exactly. And I THINK long fingernails is in the rodent category.
Yeah, it’s long fingernails -> claws -> rat claws .
Is there any way to protect myself from cult brainwashing? Some weird creature in cabin basement permastunned me while cultists ate me alive.
I know that certain Artifacts can protect your mind against those attacks. High…Intelligence I think also helps with the roll.
If all else fails, make a Tin foil hat! xD No clue if THAT would work, but it sure is hilarious
Guys, is there any way to know my stim level?
Or, if this is impossible, is it possible to die because drinking too much coffee and not sleeping at all?
Amazingly, the guy who mainlined it DID include source tweaks so it has a chance of negating that effect. Not as reliable as artifact protection.
Which is sad, as when I was adding it to More Survival Tools, I was gonna have it be cosmetic. :V

Eventually exhaustion will set in. When it get’s to the 3rd stage I think of being tired your body will fall asleep on it’s own as a protective measure. So while you think. “cool, that works”. It could be in the middle of fighting zombies.
Also I believe you can get addicted to caffeine too.
Yes, you can get addicted to caffeine ; even stuff like Cola and other caffeinated drinks have a minor stim level and a extremely low chance to get addicted to it.

afaik, it’s impossible to get to tired on a coffee diet, since it just takes off from your tiredness, at least that’s what i heard some dev say about how coffee works.
I know that i can have a heart attack if i get my stim level to 250, but how do i know if i am close enough?
If memory serves I think you can use the Blood Analysis CBM to accurately gauge your stim level.
So I found the Book Of Five Rings in a mansion library, and learned Nitchen Ichi-Ryu. However, the description says it’s meant for katanas, wakizashis, and staffs. I have a nodachi as my weapon, will the martial art work well with this? And is it worth using as a martial art style when I already had Ninjitsu?
It should work with the nodachi, I think. Let me check…
EDIT: Yep.

where did you get ninjutsu from? I am playing with Niten ichy-ryu and a katana atm, dealing about 50-80 damage on a regular hit and 150-180 on a crit - melee 6, cutting 5. Never tried ninjutsu though, can’t tell you which one is better. Didn’t also try to fight powerful monsters with it, i have a bow for that.
It cuts through regular zombies in 1 swing and through anything with more health in 1-2 (i mean zombie brutes).
Ninjutsu is on the list of styles available from the “self-defense classes” trait.
Yeah, i know that, but i supposed he found the book ingame somewhere. Is that even possible?
Edit: Is Ninjutsu better than Niten ichy ryu? i assume yes. but having no experience with it, i am not so sure.
It’s debatable, Niten gives more damage scaling with your perception and ninjutsu silent strikes and stunlocking on crit.
How much more damage based on Per? I know Ninjutsu has huge damage boosts on crits for cutting weapons. But how do i get it ingame?
I don’t have exact numbers, but I do know that my character with 8 perception dealth up to 200 dmg per hit on niten but only arround 150 with ninjutsu. Ninjutsu gives you improved precision strike called Surprise strike which you execute on critical hits, it doubles cutting damage and stuns the enemy for three rounds.
Imho both are tied for best weapon style in game, but I prefer niten as you can rarely find it in mansions and dojos instead of spending three points on ninjutsu at character creation. I’m not sure you can find a ninjutsu book ingame, the only weapons martial arts I have found were fencing and niten.
I found a krav maga manual on a military outpost in the experimentals. It didn’t seem to exist or drop in stable, so possibly other martial arts manuals that can’t be found in dojos can be found now.
Speaking of Krav Maga, I’d still regard that as the best unarmed style, though karate is useful for its bonus defensive effects. Ninjutsu is really at its best when used with a weapon.
