I have misplaced my security van filled with all kinds of delicious loot. I was just supposed to loot one house and instead I walked through half the world on foot. Is there any way to locate it?
No, not really, you’ll have to remember were you left it.
In the future you can craft, install, and then activate a vehicle tracker, and then use a pda to locate your car. It will appear as a note on your map.
You can also manually add notes to the map every time you leave your car in the middle of nowhere, which is what I do.
In my defense I had a situation involving zombie hulk, triffid queen and chicken walker which left me slightly confused and very scared for my life.
What does protective lenses cbm do? I’m assuming it gives some sort of environmental protection on the eyes?
I think it protects against sun glare.
If it’s the bionic sunglasses you’re talking about, it also provides resistance to flashbang effects and serves as welding goggles.
Nah, there’s already anti-glare compensators for that.
Oh right. It must be the eye armor then. O.o

So what’s the best way to punch a hole in a wall or taking down1 block. The wall is not cement, the average house wall. I’m trying to not ram it with a vehicle and maybe take down 1/2 the wall or collaspe anything. I want to put a heavy frame going out in order to put up some solar panels outside to power my minifridges, welders etc inside my base.
I know if I jackhammer it’s going to maybe take down a few blocks.
What you want is a pickaxe. Try searching around mines and public works buildings, they are very rare but perfect for taking down a single block of wall. Were also good for knocking out metal doors before acetylene torches became a thing.
Right, pickaxe, a character found one of them ages ago. There is a public works nearby, right next to the power station. I think I’ll need to make sure I got enough supplies for a big battle.
Oh and whomever said " cable out the window". Scent is a thing, and I typically board windows. But a firehouse, has no windows. I love the metal door entrances. I’ve only killed 1 character by closing the door on their head. I learned that lesson.
I am not convinced that frame+board will block scent actually. Science needs to be done.
EDIT: They do block scent

They are treated as scent reduction, like boarded windows.
Hmm. Any way to get the map to not generate fungal towers, blooms, and flowers? Just blacklisting the monsters still laves empty patches of fungal terrain.
As you’ll find in the discussion here ( https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/pull/12798 ) I’ve tried a wide array of different things to break what seems to be hard-coded fungifying of selected areas.
You could try blacklisting the mapgen functions that generate them.
And if they don’t have blacklistable functions (ie. are hardcoded in C++), you could rewrite it in jsons and then blacklist that.

Factor might be we worth revising, then. Scent map tells me it completely blocks the scent from even smelly characters, but perhaps im not actually using it right

you can run the cable through the door and then close it. It will still be functional.

From a realism perspective, boarded windows should not block more scent than simple windows. And neither simple windows nor doors should block all the scent.
So, after becoming a marloss carrier, what’s the next step to becoming a horrible Mycus monster? Someone mentioned it last time I asked I asked and I can’t find it, nor can I remember if they spoiled anything past the first step. :V
What type of mycus food have you eaten? If just berries, you gotta find the other things the Mycus provides. You might have to keep eating those until you earn yourself some ‘progress’ mycus-wise.
And so begins a long, arduous trek to become a monster.
EDIT: Add berries and seeds to the list. Sap though…how will I acquire that?
EDIT 2: Doh. I…we…figured it out.
EDIT 3: Correction, never did figure out how to get the sap as an ITEM.
EDIT 4: Figured that out too. Murder is always the answer when it involves fungi.

Have you made sure to visit as many NPC’s as you can to spread the joy?
