I would imagine that a properly pulped corpse can not come back… as it is pulped, and therefor no longer capable of performing useful, blob beneficial activities. necromancers… I would think not for same reason… but they ARE necromancers… so Im going with that likely depends on the lore… or the lore depends on it… I kinda wonder about that now that its been mentioned.
Does smashing them prevent necromancers from raising them, or does only butchering do that?
Also, what’s with all the military crash sites? I’ve found like 12 of them, and it’s nice because I get nice things when I clean them up sometimes, but I’ve found 4 or 5 blaster arm CBMs… anything to do with them? You can only use one (and I don’t want to use it)…
Also, is there anything to do with the black boxes yet? Don’t tell me what it is, necessarily, I just want to know if there’s a point to them yet.
All raising. Even if they raised from a pulped or mostly-pulped corpse, they’d be debuffed so hard that they’d be harmless (except for special abilities). Speed and hp scales with how damaged the corpse was.
You can craft the CBM into a weapon, but I think it requires a recipe. You won’t need more than one of those. They seem to be a common spawn in anthills, so it’s easy to replenish them.
NPC stuff only, I think. I recall something about recipes, but I can’t find anything about it.
Do non-ice labs exist?
Yeah, encountered quite a few of them already.

50% chance per lab, so yeah, there’s some room for streaks. :-/
Is there any way to heat food other than by cooking it? Like if I wanted to heat my can of mushroom soup.
Is there any good reason why rainwater needs to be boiled before it’s drinkable?
Finally, canned foods still show up blue, as in perishable, but there’s no reference on the wiki for how long they should last. Will they basically last forever, or what?
'A’pply a hotplate (or RV kitchen)
What dictates target selection after killing your initial target when burst firing? Like five zombies are coming at me, I target the closest one with my SMG and cut loose. The first couple shots kill it, but rather than going for the next closest target, the rest of the burst gets fired at some random Z tangled up in some wreckage across the street. Burst firing into swarms is almost pointless.
On a similar note, am I doing something wrong with manual vehicle turret targeting? Like right now the process seems to consist of…
-
Select the turret. (Reticle defaults to some random target half a mile away that I don’t care about.)
-
Cycle to the desired target.
-
Press F to fire. (Nothing happens.)
-
Repeat from step 1.
-
Gun finally fires.

Rainwater is not considered pure drinking water IRL either.
Canned foods don’t rot because cans protect them from rot. I think it can be considered a minor display bug that they are shown in blue.

Picks the closest hostile thing.
Yeah, I’m the author of the crappy manual targeting. I already sent a rework (not perfect, but at least not-crap), but the devs are quite busy with more important stuff at the moment. The change is low priority (affects only a small selection of players, isn’t a bugfix, requires heavy testing) and so will have to wait, but again - it is there, working and just waiting for verification.
New system has two parts: aiming a turret and aiming all turrets.
Aiming a turret consists of unequiping your weapon, getting onto turret tile, pressing ‘f’, using turret’s weapon like a held gun (doesn’t allow aiming yet - part of what makes it not-perfect) and firing it like a held gun. Also allows changing turret mode while standing under it.
Aiming all turrets happens when you press ‘f’ while unarmed and sitting at control panel of your vehicle. This aims all turrets at once, but doesn’t use (or train) your skills and takes all turn (or more, if you’re slow).
Imperfections are: no aiming turrets, no bonus for using a turret (should reduce recoil) other than not hitting veh parts, no seeing through veh parts while on top of your roof (turrets are all on the roof), no seeing turrets while inside car, not too useful display for aiming all turrets (only shows how many turrets are in range) and no skills used for aiming all turrets. And possibly many more, but that will show only after testers get to it.
Id love to test it for you, but I am not really sure how…
I’m collecting symptoms… but there’s nothing in the Effects window. I’m getting “Your bowels ache.” and “Your veins itch.” and now I’ve started coughing heavily.
Any idea what’s going on? I did just finish clearing my first lab… could it have something to do with that?
Side note: after playing on 20x spawn, the science lab was REALLY easy - clearly, it’s not affected by the spawn multiple.
Also, apparently the EMP bionic only works on an adjacent space - could that be updated to be clearer? I took a lot of fire from turrets trying to figure it out. Having them work out to 2 spaces instead of one would be nice so you don’t get caught in the explosion that happens about half the time.
Scientists provide farmable plutonium cells - they make manhacks, which occasionally drop 5 plutonium cells when they die, even though you don’t get any for disassembling them.
Did you eat some funny meat in the lab? if so you might have a parasite.
Is there any way to fast forward waiting several hours? Like, on characters currently stuck on one building, can’t sleep, no light to craft or read… pressing . to pass the minutes or trying to sleep is kinda tedious.
Yes .
I believe it’s bound to vertical bar, ‘|’, by default. 5 minute, 30 minute, 1 hour, dawn, noon, dusk wait options.
The lab in question is somewhat near an anthill, and giant ants spawned occasionally on the top floor. Having forgotten to bring something to cook with, I ate raw ant meat a few times, but nothing else…
Would that do it? I why isn’t there something on the effects screen? Also, if it is a parasite, what do I do about it?
Its hidden because your char suposedly doesn t know what causes the symptoms.
eating any raw meat may cause parasites.
You can either use an anti parasite drug or royal jelly.
edit:
If you had a parasite when taking the anti parasitic drug then there should be a message about something dieing inside of you. If not it was something else probably. In any case royal jelly heals just about everything. if you are unsure take that.
Is there any way to drag one of the benches in the shelter into the shelter basement?
no. you ll have to build one down there.
Found a mansion - same thing, unaffected by spawn multiplier. Top level of a mine seemed to be like that as well (going back soon…)
Is there anything to be done about spitters and their acid? My legs are EASILY the most-injured part of me, ALL the time.
