Drop items until your encumbrance is 0. Fight him unarmed since you have 2 points there already. Make him stand in a spike pit while you pound away at him.
This guy probably has the right of it

 1. How do I attach a water faucet to a metal tank? I placed a funnel outside my base and a metal tank underneath, but now I face the issue of actually obtaining this water.

 2. Where do I find an air pump? I got an inflatable raft from a sporting goods store but I need an air pump to inflate it.

 1. Sounds like you’ve dropped a metal tank on the ground and stuck a funnel on it to gather rain water. Nothing wrong with that. Make sure you have some empty containers in you inventory (canteens, bottles, jugs, etc), pick up the metal tank, then unload the water into your containers.

A better way may be to make sure you have a hotplate in your inventory/start a fire nearby, stand close to the metal tank and craft clean water directly into the containers.

Water faucets are used in vehicle construction. If you have a water tank on a vehicle (RVs are a good example), then you weld your water faucet on the vehicle to access the water.

 1. Can’t help you there, sorry.

 2. Unless you fancy getting a hernia from picking up a tank full of water, use the advanced inventory manager “/”, select the tank, hit “e”, then "U"nload it. Make sure you have a water container in your inventory or at your feet. The water faucet is used in cars only.

 3. Sporting goods stores.

Unless Environmental Protection score takes care of it at 10+, not even a full power armor will protect you from radiation - it doesn’t have either RAD_RESIST or RAD_PROOF tags which are responsible for it. To get the resistance or immunity, you need cleansuit, hazmat (or their derivatives) or RM13 Combat Armor.
Power armor + helmets does offer full protection, its handled inside the code with its own special case.

I’ve got two saves on the same world. What would happen if I enter the reality bubble of the other save?

Just time-related stuff. Like if you’re playing save A, which is several months ahead of save B, and load save B’s base into save A’s reality bubble, you’re likely to spoil their perishables.

I remember reading somewhere that starting traits don’t count towards mutation threshold, is this still true?

Sadly I think it is. I don’t know if there’s a way to use the debug menu to add mutations that count towards thresholds or not.

Is it safe to use the fusion blaster rifle in the lab, meaning will the resulting fire spread and bring the place down on my head?

Was the “rotting things ignore icelab’s temperature decrease” bug fixed sometime in the last 5 months? Crutch that it was propped with (icelabs preventing rot entirely) still seems to be in place, but a zombie meat in overmap icelab corridor (with temperature drop and all) still disappeared just fine.

Ah. It’s not fixed, it’s just another bug on top of it causing items to, apparently, check against player’s position when rotting, not theirs. So if you’re out of the icelab, they’ll rot even when they’re in.

Which is the better throwing weapon? A Flashlight or A Pocketknife, I need to know because a Zombie Brute will be in hitting distance in one turn.

It has stone floors and walls so you are save (some walls are normal ones though), I have more than once made a fire in a ice lab to warm me up (a 3 tiles big fire)

Which does more damage in combination with the + to hit value? Throw that one last.

Where can I find vines?
Thought that vine beasts and triffids would drop them upon butchering, but i was wrong.

Is there any downside to the slimy mutation? Seems like the kind of thing that would make you thirsty faster.

Yes, kinda-sorta-undocumented-I-found-out-by-accident. Hit “t” when on a trait you’ve got in the traits-debug to toggle whether it’s a Starting trait (has the T) or not.

This is good to know, and thank you!

Is the thing about starting traits not counting towards thresholds and thus making them more difficult to reach if you start out with traits associated with your desired geneline intentional, or do we have Permission to debug-toggle them so that they count?

It’s a leftover of the pre-Lab trait-handling. That said, we don’t officially sanction that sort of debug-menu use. Ideally I’d ding people another point or two if they could set themselves up toward Raptor/Elf-A from chargen.

Has anyone been struck by lightning before and how much damage does it do.
