Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

I think heavy physical jobs tire much faster, at least from my experience.

Get a pickaxe and strike the earth!

Finishing the pickaxe digging job (underground) adds 30 points of fatigue.

Dojos and boxing gyms have a limited selection of styles. Ninjutsu isn’t among them.

Seeing as I now have two pet dogs that can only otherwise be ordered to go aggressive or passive with a whistle item, it would be nice to have a way to tell them to STAY, and not follow me to their doom when I go out on looting runs.

I recall something in the 0.B patch notes about a shiny new companion/minion orders interface, but I can’t seem to figure it out. If there’s a button for it, it doesn’t seem to show up in the keybindings. Maybe I’m jumping to conclusions as to the nature of that note, though.

Any help?

Can certain bionics prevent the installation of others?

Any reason not to install every bionic you find?
I think someone here said he had so many bionics he ran out of hotkeys for them, but other than the Fusion Blaster Arm, I don’t know any CBMS that have any real consequences. I remember them saying certain mutations and bionics wouldn’t be compatible but I don’t think thats been coded yet.
That person was me. I have all of the bionics installed and I can’t use ten of them because I don’t have hotkeys for them. I installed Fusion Blaster and I can’t even use it :frowning:

So they malfunction after a certain amount afterall :open_mouth:

Nah, more like I ran out of buttons on my Deluxe Bionic Control Panel[sup]tm[/sup].

Too bad you can’t assign buttons like Shift + 1 ect. I of course have never had this problem. I normally like to play with very little bionics I lean more to mutations.

Actually, symbols like !, @, # are valid. It’s numbers that aren’t used. If I could use numbers I would have just enough :frowning:

Theres quite a lot bionics that i never use thus i havent had this problem yet.
I hope we ll get some workover for bionics so the actual amount you can hold in your body is limited somehow.
Would give me a reason to decide on whether i use a bionic or not. As of now its install all !

That’s reasonable, but it would mean that I would get nerfed, and that would suck.

Everyone gets nerfed by the same ammount thus your still ahead of everyone :stuck_out_tongue:

Just found a plutonium generator at a military outpost, anything interesting I can do with it, aside from cracking it open and getting radiation poisoning?

You can build a temple arround it and worship it as your god.

Other then that i dun know… I ll see if i can find some use next i encounter one.

Nothing special.

Yet.

So, Essence of Ninjutsu (the book) doesnt spawn anywhere?

Nope. An item group “ma_manuals” that contains ninjutsu is defined, but not used anywhere.

Boxing gyms can contain boxing, taekwondo, karate and (very rarely) muay thai.
Dojo can contain aikido, karate, judo, taekwondo and tai chi.
That’s it for learnable styles (except brawling of course).

Ah. Thats a pity. I suppose other books cannot drop as randoms from zombies.

If i recall correctly i heard something about wandering martial masters teach you the forms not learnable by books. dunno what happened with that .

Encountered one a hour or so ago. He said “Yeah, I’m martial master, but I’m not yet coded. Want to trade?”. Then he proceeded to fire last bolt from his crossbow and rushed after fleeing rats with his axe.

Patch notes mentioned a mutation path for the marloss berry, anyone knows how it works? I’m already on it I think but I don’t know the extent of it.

Spoilers:

I ate a bunch of them, got and lost some random mutations until I got Marloss Carrier. I get the extra-bonuses for eating them and generate fungal beds with a few marloss bushes and spores but that’s it. Does further progress leads me to join the fungal faction or something like that? And how do I progress trough the path, I’ve been eating them for a few days now.
