Aye, aye! I can cut though thousands of zombies in one go without my weapon getting stuck in them!

Does anyone know if the diamond zweihander is conductive? I’m using the eletroshock bionic and it works fine with a normal zweihander so I’m assuming it’s the same with the diamond one since only the edge of the sword is made out of diamonds.

Well that was quick. Yes, it is conductive because it is still part steel. How is it treating you?

Should I upgrade to heavy survivor gear? I’ve got plenty of resources and encumbrance doesn’t matter.

I only asked because I put them in. :slight_smile: I only have a diamond broadsword because I got a head start on y’all.

If you have normal survivor gear i would suggest just getting winter survivor gear for it is comparable to heavy, and it will give you something to change out in when winter or the nice labs

Warmth is no problem, I have the CBM and a full thermal electric suit. What I need is armor. I’m tired of getting shot by security bots and actually taking damage. Also, I want some armor to protect my precious thermals from gunfire, explosions and acid.

Do you mean with the time dilation bionic? If so I don’t think you take damage or even roll to the ground but the car will continue moving though, so make sure it’s not aiming for the trees/buildings unless you want it exploding on you later.

  1. Do corpse filled pits spawn zombies? I hope not- this FEMA Camp has a nice lab for a house and plenty of resources/fenced in land.

  2. Do all NPCs have a chance of fleeing upon seeing me? Is this based on how I look, what I’m wearing/wielding, etc.?

  3. And, finally, what’s a reliable source of materials for reloading bullets? I’m doing a gun build, and gunpowder/primer and such is quite hard to come by.

  3. No, they’re just decorative.

  4. Only some will flee. They rate your danger to check if they want to mess with you.
    Danger rating is like this: +8 for gun (or +4 if they have one too), otherwise +1 for weapon that deals 12 or more of one type, otherwise -3 if unarmed
    Bonus/penalty for high/low str: 20+ is +4, 16+ is +2, 12+ is +1, 5- is -2, 3- is -4
    -1 for every bodypart below half hp, +1 for every THEIR bodypart below half hp
    +2 if you have terrifying trait
    +1 for stimm value above 20
    -2 for drunk
    All formulas easily readable in src/npc.cpp

So if you want them to be less scared, holster that gun - that’s the biggest change

  1. Primers can be made from cheap stuff (oxy powder and cans) once you get a vehicle chemistry set and a chemistry book. Look for libraries for the book, look for mobile meth labs for the chemistry set (mobile meth labs look like regular RVs, but have a set instead of kitchen - and a different name obviously).
    Gunpowder is a bit more expensive - you’ll need charcoal, ammonia and oxy - and also the chem set.
    Charcoal can be made with kilns, oxy from bleach and bleach from salt water (salt water is free in swamps), ammonia takes a looooong time to produce so better just hoard existing jugs.

If all else fails, grab a kinetic bullet puller and disassemble all ammo you aren’t using.

How do I get the water from my water tank? I have a foodco in my car, but there’s only an option to use the purifier.
