Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

The welding rig has to have a battery on it for the cables to work…

I like taking the wire basket off a shopping cart, and replacing it with a gas tank. Then you can just drag it and siphon all the gas you find into the rolling tank, and when you get back to your car/bus/doommobile siphon it into that.

I’ve used the jumper cables a few times, you attach one end to your powered vehicle, and the other to a vehicle with zero battery and it’ll start. They snap off if you move one of the vehicles too far away, with minor damage. They can be removed like a normal vehicle part, or removed via the ativate menu.

I’m still trying to figure out the storage battery cases.

it spawns with a smal one in garages sometimes. which is what i used.

Another survival related question, how long does it take for a tanning hide and pelt to get done? And is there any way to speed up the process? I’ve seen sometimes in survival related games/movies where people place the hides in sticks to create more exposure so the material gets done faster, can I replicate this here?

It takes roughly 14 days. Be sure to check by "a"ctivating the “tanning hide”, cause there’s no indication of finished process.

jumper cables are atached like this:
1.activate it in inventory and chose direction where it need to be atached
2.move to other vehicle
3.activate it again (its still in your inventory at yelow color) and window will open
4.chose option to atach second end and chose direction (do not wory if window do not disapear after activating it will disapear after chosing direction)

jumper cables transport energy from one car to another if one car have batteries but no energy source and another car do not have batteries but generate power it will charge other car batteries
if both cars have power sources and only one have batteries all power go to car with batteries
i never tested it with 2 cars where both have batteries

Jumper cables can be attached to more than two cars. You can have entire network of connected cars.

However the longer the line of cars is, the bigger power loss. Jumper cable loses 5%, heavy-duty cable 10%.

yes you can have network of cars but you need more than 1 cable to connect more than 2 cars

5% power loss is not that big when using bigger power sources it realy good if you need to quickly charge your solar car without removing engie or having realy big mechanics (make small generator and atach it to car with cable)

if i pick a pine tree or fruit bearing tree when they are in season are they done for good and i should just chop them down?

or do they regenerate for the next year?

-Duffel bags are a good source of plastic if you have plenty of rags,
-Vehicles early are good for escaping zombies and running ogre npcs alike, just don’t test em against tankbots or milispec turrets/ normal turrets
-NPCs are dicks, except for Dick Surges, you might find him in the lab after you get feathers and the beutiful mutation.
-Minefields are a good place to find mines, just look for dirt piles, and have a ton of trapping… i personally think emp should make mines either go off or deactivate them, or have metal wire you can toss over the area to make em go off
-Its better to beat a shocker zombie with a plastic bottle rather than a screwdriver
-Broken Cyborgs are good for training mele for they can hardly do anything agrainst even some of teh weakest characters compared to standard zombies
-Skitterbots are the incarnation of evil itself for early characters, so are turrets, npcs, shockers, brutes, hulks, shocker brutes/hulks, and most things remotly strong.
-Mi-gos are wimps, just lure them into a fire and when they get to half health they will probably run away and you can lose them.
-the above tactic also works for krecks except for they just die in the fire
-The above above tactic is good for most things except things that can throw you like brutes/hulks, and probably shoggoths.
-Dont drink bleach
-Vinager is ok to drink if desperate
-Flour and cornmeal and such is a good long term food supply as long as you dont have the carnivore mutation and or dont have the space.
-Dont drink and drive, a military tank bot might have to pull you over
-If eating a bannana takes you 5 to 10 minutes to do you will probably die.
-If you dont act at all and leave the game on your character could live forever surrounded by hulks.
-When finding an epic sword like a katana, zwilehander, broadsword, or baseball bat, make sure it is not made of aluminum
-Bears are tasty
-so are squrrels.
-Bacon is forever.

I think you wrote the whole thing just for the Dick Surges joke.

About two days, and no, but I’ve had ideas about implementing such things.

Looking for a stethoscope. How rare are these exactly? In all my playthroughs I don’t think i’ve ever found one. Is it like the vaccucontainer?

Probably rarer and they can only be found inside doctor’s offices inside the metal door room.

You most commonly finde these in hospitals.

Probably rarer and they can only be found inside doctor’s offices inside the metal door room.[/quote] i see it allways outside of it

You’re a lucky guy then, I’ve already searched 3 doctor’s offices and I’ve yet to find one, the number of safes that need to be cracked is also pilling up.

look at more, i mostly loot 5 offices before finding it but its allways outside of metal room

Well, if you really want to you could always finde a jackhammer and hammer the case till it opens, or make one.

Any way of preventing my war scythe from getting stuck other than getting more stranth?
