Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

It’s just a flavorful message in the memorial to note that you got caught setting off an alarm, which spawns eyebots which summon copbots when they take your picture.

If you get a truck, get heavy frames and spiked plates on the front of it ASAP. Like, one extra row on front, don’t replace the front. Now if you see any roadblocks, ram into that shit at 50 mph and take out the two turrets - assuming that the defenses there are, in fact, turrets. All you need is a bit of duct tape afterwards and you’re good to go!

I haven’t seen a tank drone or a chicken walker yet, so I’m not sure how effective this technique is against them.

Ramming a tank drone at 60+ mph is considered one of the ways a weak survivor can kill a tank drone. If you go too slow, you can expect an anti-tank round in your face and if its blast area reaches you, that’s an instant game over to any non-cheated survivor.

Regular non-milspec turrets don’t warrant ramming, though. With a semi-strong armor you can just tank all the 9mm they shoot at you. Or assassinate them at night.

I have a question about hords… is this normal for them to be over water like this? http://i.imgur.com/UMmdrjF.png

I think so. Since zamboes can’t suffocate, there’s nothing to stop them from going in the water.

They can walk along the bottom of the river, yeah, and by rights they should lose scent/hearing when underwater (sharks they ain’t) so getting stuck down there would be a real possibility.

They don’t randomly stumble into water (explicitly prevented in stumble code), so I’d assume they wouldn’t do so on overmap either.

why can a zombie stumble randomly into any direction but not fall into water?

So I’ve been hearing a fair bit about these tank drones… First time posting but I just thought I’d mention that I could find nothing on the wiki about Tank Drones. I’d fill in the information myself but I’m yet to survive more than a week. Is the wiki still being updated by someone?

On another note, can zombie hordes split up to cover more ground? Whilst rummaging through a house on the edge of a town two hordes turned into a wall of 'Z’s that nearly completely surrounded me. If it weren’t for the bad hearing on that character, I probably would’ve got out sooner…

What’s the strongest vehicle armor in the game?

Probably Military Composite but I like to be sure.

hardplating and composite have the same strength - composite weights less .

Hrm, how much stronger is composite compared to spiked plating?

The stumble is more like the random uncoordinated zombie gait. If you ever get near enough to a zombie without it detecting you, you can notice it will slowly walk around in a random path, that’s the stumble at work. (I think)

My opinion is simply that uncontrolled movement should result in well things the moving object doesn t nesesarily desire including falling into water traps lava … from a building etc.

spike dur = 900
composite =3250

edit : to my last reply … reading the specifications composite is about 50% more durable then ghardplating as well … my bad.

Military has 3250 durability
Hard has 2300
Steel 1000
Spiked 900
Superalloy 900
Wooden 300

Probably some sort of an instinct. Aquatic zombies (only swimmers?) can stumble into water.
And if you mean mechanics: it is simply explicitly forbidden for non-breathing non-aquatic or non-swimming monsters from choosing swimmable tiles as stumble destination if they aren’t in swimmable tiles themselves.

Interestingly (possibly an unintended behavior) this means zombies and robots can’t stumble into water even when stunned, while breathing creatures (animals, triffids) can.

Well, instant death to any survivor who hasn’t gotten several BUFFS!! Granades. Also, Can confirm that just ramming it at top speed will work, but afterwards, your car might not.

Guys why is my side bar suddenly looking like this?
The log text used to come after the stats/temperature/whatever thing.
This is annoying since I now have to look all the way down to get a grasp of what’s happening.
Is this a bug or a “feature”?

That’s… Odd.

Just to check, is your sidebar mode in “standard” or “narrow” setting?

Found a granade, looks like a easter egg grenade. What does it do? (I’m afraid to throw it, knowing how cruel the devs are)

you get stat reduce increase bees and some other stuff mebe >.>
