Tips, Tricks, and Newb Questions!

I just keep a sleeping bag on my bed in the back of my RV and wear warm clothes. Ive set a couple of chars on fire, surviving becomes challenging for a bit, thats for sure.

I’d think either it caps at 0, or yes.[/quote]
It’ll go into the negative, with once you going far enough into the negatives it basically converts to a guaranteed failure.

The immortal blob thing was a bug, latest experimental should have a fix.

If you give a man a fire, he stays warm for a short while. If you set a man on fire, he stays warm for the rest of his life.

So How do I make a Zombie Slave?

Activate a knife…

Yeah, not an option.
Did it across a large variety of knives, No luck.

I think you need some first aid and something else for it.

You may have failed trying to do so. You can fail so bad that you reanimate it and it reks you…

Last I checked it was survival, but could be both. But you can’t insta-rez the zed. (That would make no sense. How does doing more damage suddenly repair the corpse?) You can only end up pulping it, not know whether you succeeded, or succeed.

i could imagine it is when you start messing with its corpse you either anger it by prodding it with a knife, or you derp and use too many bandages

Well you’ve already disabled it by the point you’re dicking with it.
The bandages vaguely makes sense, by way of cata-logic.
If you rub the bandages long enough, they are re-absorbed into the body, stitching it back together.

You somehow fail so badly at enslaving the corpse that it is healthier than it was before. You may now piss yourself.

Is there anything you can do with canvas sacks/bag? They are craftable, but I haven’t found a use for them, sadly.

Cut them up (with scissors or a knife) for rags. No other use until when/if someone makes stuff placeable into containers.

(I have no idea if this was answered already in this topic because I just can’t search, not feeling too nice, but here it goes:)

Is there a way to permanently increase your strength or intelligence after character creation? I think there were mutations related to that.

Mutations and cbms can do it.

Nope. No mutations to make you Strong, Very Strong, Extremely Strong, or Insanely Strong; nor to have Prime Strength, be (Inconveniently) Large, or (Freakishly) Huge. Never happened.

Likewise there never was Smart, Very Smart, Extremely Smart, Insanely Smart, Prime Intelligence, or Distributed Neurology.

That “Granade” thing with its “BUFFS!!” effect, uh-uh.

And Rivet never made a Muscle Augmentation or Cerebral Booster bionic.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I think I already know the answer but I want to confirm, does butchering quality have any effect on number of items received (or successfully salvaged cbms), or is it only speed? Petty sure only speed.

Try butchering with integrated toolset alone (-100 quality). Speed and chance of success at least, possibly small effect on amount, with much larger effect from survival.
