Try butchering with integrated toolset alone (-100 quality). Speed and chance of success at least, possibly small effect on amount, with much larger effect from survival.

Hunting knife, introduced at same time as switchblade, has 50.

well i wear 2 sheaths, 2 holsters, 2 sccabads and combat boots but there is a way to wear more weapons on me? because 2 pistols and 6 blades is not enought for long looting runs and they take some volume

So, acetylene torches, welders, welding masks, hammers, shovels, commercial fertilizers and seeds are generally found in hardware stores, right? Would hot plates be in hardware stores as well?

Also, how would one find a way to repair PBA masks, or would it be more reasonable to loot a firestation and pray the RNG gods don’t smite me with a horde before I get to my destination for an undamaged one?

Is there a way to eliminate slime pits? I FINALLY found a fire station after wandering around two different towns and I plan to make it a permanent home base for the coming winter but with one probably huge hitch. There is a slime pit on the far edge of the town and I don’t want to make base if I can’t clear the town of all threats besides a random horde.

Also unrelated question but is there a way to combine shopping carts and/or wheelbarrows into a super loot transport?

No to slime pits, yes to vehicle combining. Learn some mechanics, get a wrench, welder, goggles, and hacksaw, and get building!

Well guess I just clear that town and wander off into the sunset looking for that elusive perfect base.

edit: super duper extreme mind blowingly newb question incoming. Do I have to empty out all the stuff from the shopping carts or can I combine with no worries. All three are slammed pack full and I am lazy about these things.

You need to totally disassemble all but the one you want to use for a base for your new vehicle and then build outwards from the central one.

Does ceramic armor’s “plates cannot be repaired, only replaced” mean that you HAVE to use plates when repairing, or that you can’t repair the armor at all? Last time I had a dragon skin vest, I was able to reinforce it just fine.

Pretty much yes, with a few exceptions: commercial fertilizer and seeds can be found in a special “Gardening store”, along with certain farming implements like shovels or hoes. I’m also not sure about acetylene torches; I’v never found them in a hardware store, although that could just be the RNG. Hotplates are actually pretty easily found as they can spawn in hardware stores, sporting goods stores and electronic stores (the most common, from what I found).

Oxytorch spawns anywhere mechanics and bigtools itemgroups spawn. Which isn’t along with fertilizer, but is along non-mine-and-pawn-shop spawns of pickaxes, jackhammers, and other bigtools.
You’re much better off searching for one in a garage.
