Battery cells are containers for electrical charges, just like a gun’s magazine is a container for bullets. You can swap cells between devices, but you can’t remove electrical charges from them and thus you can’t transfer electrical charges from one cell to another. You can recharge any battery cell with a UPS recharger.

Old style individual batteries are finally gone, and they’re not coming back.

I updated to 8852 last night and found I had access to recipes I shouldn’t have. My skills weren’t high enough either to learn them automatically. I tried going over the changelog but most of the stuff there means little to me. Has this been fixed?
i still cant break rock wall with a pickaxe (build 8851), is a bug or new mechanic?, havent tried with a jack hammer, i havent found a book with the recipe
Are you 'a’pplying the pickaxe? It should ask you where to mine.

So I’m messing with faction camps for the first time- I sent a follower to build a cabin, and surveyed a farm plot. I built the farm plot right next to the camp, now from the board I can only issue commands to upgrade the farm. I can’t recall my builder, gather materials or distribute food. Am I missing something or did I screw myself into only being able to do farm work?
Not sure but: You can craft higher levels recipes from lower levels so you don’t get cornered because of not having the books to level…
Pure speculation tho, probably gonna have to have a contributor to confirm this though
Well, I crafted a ferromagnetic rail rifle for the first time. Then I updated my dda to the latest version. And now I can not use it because UPS is no longer rechargable in the recharging station. Any advice, am I doing somethig wrong or I am just fcked till it will be fixed?
Internal UPS cbm works for my coil gun, you could try debugging that cbm on you and see if that works or wait a little for the patch to come out.
You could also try reverting to an earlier build before the battery update, although your save file might not like that.

And I have a long list whereby the number in “/4.2.0/134.66.0.” changes. I could go inside the game , but the map and terrain has changed. Along with it are my items stashed at my base, which has disappeared.
You need a UPS recharger in your car rather than a rechargeable battery system. Otherwise it’s pretty much the same.

You have to fill a UPS with a heavy cell for it to have a charge… took me a couple minutes to figure it out then a couple more to gather the light cells needed to craft to heavy cells
That I’m less sure of. I would think so since there would need to be a cell to hold said UPS charge. Worth trying at least.
