Some traits add encumbrance. What’s in your traits list? If you don’t have any traits then it may be a bug
Some CBM’s also add encumbrance. Have you been installing any of those recently?
List is:
Addictive Personality
Animal Discord
Far-Sighted
Fast healer
Forgetfull
Near-Sighted
Night Vision
Packmule
Parkour Expert
Trigger Happy
Truth Teller
I dont think any of them adds encumbrance, as far as i know
I do have quite a lot of CBMs, but theres no faulty ones. What other do add encumbrance?
Edit: I guess i found it, Gasoline Fuel Cell adds 5 enc =( Thanks for help!
Edit2: Changed JSON files for it, removed the encumbrance. It works!
Is there a way to resume an in-progress vehicle construction? Or if I get interrupted mid-install is that time just gone?
I believe it’s all or nothing, i.e. any progress is gone.
Yes, I was kidding
Heya again guys, I wanted to ask a few things,
What happened to tanks? It seems all I come across is APCs and humvees, I miss the atomic mini tanks and battle tanks, is there something to put these back in if they are missing?
Can someone explain what the point of those new square labs are? all they seem to be is full of enemies and not much else, the old labs reward effort far better atm it seems, so they have virtues I’m missing?
What the heck is going on with survivor gear? It apparently takes bazillion hours to make with things like the shoes requiring a metric football field of Kevlar (88 sheets?!) it seems very excessive considering even this armor can be utterly shredded if you get ganged up on
I thought tanks were in some kind of mod?
I don’t know what the point with Labs is, as Science Labs are better from all perspectives except size from a player point of view.
I heard the tanks mod got merged ages ago, at least that’s what I read, I remember adding it on the world generation mod list but this was years ago.
Normal labs (the older sprawling ones) usually have really nice loot at their finale (the teal ‘L’) the central labs are much bigger with more finales, the square labs have an odd corridor that coloured like a finale that usually ends in a reactor area, I just can’t see what they offer over normal labs expect far more enemies
Tanks were never mainlined, you need to play with the Tank mod for tanks to spawn.
The old labs are indeed better from the player’s point of view. The new labs are only good for
(mostly useless) chemicals and mutagen making equipment. They also have a tiny chance to contain robot blueprints, but all the useful robot recipes were removed except for skitterbots which are easier to just buy from Hub 01.
Survivor gear will take forever to make until you learn all of the proficiencies it requires. The easiest way to get Kevlar sheets is by skinning Kevlar Zombies/Kevlar Hulks.
Bleh need to grab that mod at some point then
Other than tallow and lard, what are some high calorie (~1000+ like tallow/lard) food stuffs? The mood debuff from those two makes crafting hard because you need something to offset it and it’s pretty high. Low calorie foods cause issues with not being calorie dense enough.
Is there a way to change the part displayed on a vehicle tile, other than by removing and replacing the part and wasting a bunch of time and resources?
Your question is a bit unclear. Do you mean you “just” want to change the visuals produced by the part, but not really the part itself (such as e.g. changing “-” to “H” or “^” in the layout)?
I don’t have any answer, but suspect it could be achieved with save file editing, and I also suspect there wouldn’t be any in-game means to change it.
Yes, that’s exactly what I mean. Specifically, I installed a battery charger on a chair, and that replaced the icon for the chair with the one for the battery charger. But I want that tile to show a chair.
It wasn’t actually what I meant, but it’s good to clear up any confusion (I referred to how an individual part with alternative representations, such as frames, are displayed, while your issue is which part installed at a location gets to be displayed).
I suspect there’s some coded logic that selects the precedence order in which things are displayed, rather than the installation order, although I haven’t done any kind of investigation.
Furthermore, I don’t think you can change it by removing and reinstalling the parts, as I believe the charger requires a storage part (to hold the batteries to be charged) to be present before it can be installed, and chairs have storage capacity. I don’t think you can have two items with storage capacity installed in the same tile.
I wouldn’t try to hack the save files, as messing with part installation order when there are dependencies may well cause trouble ranging from traceback reports (that may or may not repeat indefinitely) to crashes.
My conclusion is that you’d either have to live with the display or move the charger to a “real” storage part.
Someone who actually knows things rather than makes guesses might be able to give you better answers, though.
Did you know that you can just shove a skeletal corpse into a charcoal kiln for easy corpse disposel and a LOT of charcoal. no butchering required.
Any way to repair damaged hearing? Like a cbm to replace your hearing? Being permanently deaf is a pain to work around sometimes. Gave me one hell of a spook when a barricaded window got torn down by a hoard out of nowhere.
The enhanced hearing CBM prevents you from becoming deaf, but I don’t think it will cure existing deafness. If you used a mininuke without earplugs your only feasible option to recover is save editing (the alternate is waiting 1 year+ for it to recover naturally).
