So anyone whose played fallout 3 should know about this marvel of post apocalyptic engineering
Its an amalgamation of a leaf blower and a vacuum which can fire almost anything at lethal force (my personal favorite was cutting boards)
while it may be a bit out there it is a very entertaining concept and it makes use of the launcher skll which unless you do some work in debug; is mostly unused.
It would run off the UPS for sure and objects fired from it could deal damage based on their weight (would have a set velocity) and could have interesting effects when they hit something, like firing a knife you could do cutting or piercing damage rather than blunt force, or firing something squishy could act like a bean bag round.
Just a suggestion, probably a llitle out there but think its quirky enough to work haha.
Appreciate the feedback
The main appeal of the rock-it launcher is that you get to see junk bounce around and maim people. This wouldn’t happen in Cataclysm, it would just be a gun that shoots batteries and junk.
The launcher skill is useful if you find or can make a lot of launcher ammo, and in the current skill system it doesn’t need to directly compete with other skills like in Fallout 3, where a big guns skill point is one less small guns skill point.
Copying original concepts from other games with little alteration is poor form.
This is a bad idea.
Straight rips are a no-no.
In any case it was a pneumatic weapon, why have it run off UPS? o_0
If you can come up with an original idea for a decent launcher (or well, anything really) let us know, we’re always open to suggestions.
As to having a weapon to train the launcher skill… you can craft a pipe launcher pretty easily and teargas grenades out of bleach and some other stuff. In any case, 0 skill accuracy still hits stuff 9 times out of 10.
ah kk thanks for the feedback then
