As the title says, some predators such as wolves, bears etc should be able to smell fresh blood. This feature would be crucial if it comes to hunting and butchering as well when we are wounded and losing blood. Predators may spawn in some distance when we are butchering a bear and we would be forced to fight for the carcass. Moreover, we may be in trouble if a wolfpack smells our blood that comes from our fresh wounds

but does blood smell?, i mean so far i believe blood is only a visual effect
I don’t think blood attracts anything or has a smell to follow, as far as some minor testing is concerned
They are more likely to attack you if you’re wounded, but it’s not specifically the blood that does it, it’s your HP being low.
Most predators in-game can be convinced to ignore you if you throw down some meat, BTW.
