On Tiles and Why We Don't Have Them (But we're progressing. Thanks utunnels)

Maybe I can try. No promise though.

Did you consider the possibility of using NotEye for the tiled interface?
Looks like a nice project designed to interface with ncuses roguelikes easily …using it might ease things up. It’s used already by DoomRL, Hydra slayer and others.
It also allows sound effects, streaming, customizable keybindings… and it’s GPL.
Also, it seems that Hydra-Slayer has an Android port, and it’s a project based on NotEye, so might be that it could be ported too.

The “3D”-ish First Person Perspective mode might be very cool to try, more immersive for a zombie survival.

I just registered to suggest this :stuck_out_tongue: …this game looks pretty interesting, just discovered about it a few days ago because of the kickstarter

Hey there, just came across this project and immediately went through and drew sketches of every enemy type in prep for a tileset.

I realise its difficult to answer before the system is implemented, but my questions are:

Will the system include animations?

What size tiles are we aiming at?

Given the 3D visualisation systems, Is it worth even going straight tiles, or should I create 3D models?

Most importantly, will there be a GUI system, and are there mock ups?

Ooh, I like the arse on dat queen! :stuck_out_tongue:
