initial_points doesn’t have a default in options.txt.
EDIT: deleted the game and downloaded it, the new one has a proper default
This is a shortcoming of the way options.txt is handled (and a common probelm with config files in general).
It’s easy to spit out a config file populated with defaults if it doesn’t exist, much harder to reloably insert a new default option into a modified config file without screwing up.
FYI you shouldn’t need to redownload the game, just delete options.txt and the next time you run the game it will create a default options.txt
