Should be able to Smash (“s”) a Small Tree a few times and get some that way. It turns into an Underbrush, IIRC.
Windows also drop heavy sticks, just in case that is an option of course.
Only thing you really need H. Sticks for is snares, really. Almost everything else can be made with Two by Fours.
If you want to make knife spears plenty of houses and hardware stores have brooms and mops lying about the place.
