make items tied to wearable storage so if I dropped the backpack for example it will include all the items inside, giving the user temporary freedom of movement or something

It’s come up quite often. Not exactly trivial to code. We’d love a PR for it.

To make it totally clear: DDA dev is NOT “spend 500 dev time, get inventory by container; spend 1,000 dev time, get Z-levels; spend 950 dev time, get Cool NPCs”.
