I some how ate my messenger bag when I was going to wear it. Is this a bug or can you eat clothing now?

I remember once knocking down a town and turning the metal into a vehicle and using the wood and other flammables to power my integrated tool set… Good times.
There’s a certain charm to eating everything you can with the internal furnace just for the heck of it.
