Lots of the tanks get converted into smaller tanks. Presumably there’s some sort of smooshing process involved in assembly. Or no dev wanted to add a .3L tank for only one recipe that’s basically useless otherwise.

Yeah, it’s possible for something to take less volume when assembled than disassembled. Consider the matryoshka doll. Together it takes only the volume of its largest doll, but apart it’s the volume of each doll added.

Since this was brought to my attention, I have no choice but to revisit butchery yield again and see what went wrong this time and fix it.

I’m still saying the easiest solution is to have quartering destroy the stomach so you just have to field dress it first if you care about that sort of thing.

I wish they would get stranger, what if you stumble across a human that had …other things besides human guts in them. Like you butcher one to only discover it was a synth or had alien things growing in their flesh?

I’m just glad they haven’t put body mimics in the game yet, don’t need monsters playing dead on me, waiting to i loot them then suddenly biting my face off while I’m in loot screen.

it also happens to me but i didn’t notice that it was strange, just normal for me.
