Ok… So I got a tablet (It belongs to my mother and she’s had it for a while, so I just asked to borrow it)
I honestly don’t know if it’s worth learning over what I can already do with a mouse.

I did a thing of Foxy with the tablet, and I don’t see much of a difference. (other than the shadowing and extra detail I decided to add as well.)
(This tablet takes up the entire top section of the desk, because the desk isn’t that big. good thing I know the layout of the keyboard after I get typing, because I can’t see it underneath the desk.)
Your hand isn’t calibrated to working with a tablet yet. Yes, calibrated. Use the tablet in place of a mouse for a while until you get a spatial feel for how its size translates to the desktop. All things considered, the fact you didn’t experience a quality drop the first time drawing with it is a surprise to me. Keep going. Trust me. S’gonna be great.
One of the biggest advantages over mouse drawing versus tablet (assuming equal familiarity with both tools) is speed.
