his soul. If anyone has read that book… with the demons, and the werewolves cursed family, and the magic and stuff… and the three board chess games that determine the fate of people afflicted with werewolf curses. Yep good reads.

Meantime here’s a thing I posted in the general boards, a WIP that’s shaping up to be awesome, by a cool guy called Nero or ChickenTeeth or Trumpetshark depending on where you check out his stuff:

Cricket bat: there’s something we’ve missed. The Skybreaker’s shaping up to be a scrapper. I like it
And welcome back.
Thanks, glad to be back! I also got the inks for the piece and it is fantastic:
I really need to get back to LPing Cataclysm, and I’m definitely gonna make the pseudo-Shower Victim boxer-shorts-and-hospital-bracelet startup (Heck I might even make unique wearables for the class!).
I swear I’ll get a stream going one of these days, haha.

Question from idiot who doesn’t know the first thing about drawing.
In early drawings, there’s always light scribbles, but afterwards they are gone.
Example, upper picture and lower picture.
My question is what purpose do the light scribbles serve? I’ve always wondered but never asked.
I think its mostly to get the layout straight so they know what goes where and whats layering where ect, to make final more bettered.
So yeah I’am new here. I drew a sketch some time ago, and well its about time I showed it :>.
Also, this sketch is an representation of the play-style I used to have in cdda. Bow-centered characters were nice, but now I just go melee-style (since it’s pretty easy to do early-game).
If anyone has anything they might have to suggest for me to improve on art-wise , go ahead and fire away.
WOW great stuff man, don’t think Ive seen your art around here much. Please resolve this problem. As far as recommendations for your art… and play style… try throwing. Its impossible to loos XP in it cuz you just throw a random object whenever you want and get more xp. It also becomes devastating quickly, and I have yet to see anyone do a serious cata art of someone with throwing knives draped all over them and lack the proper skills to do it well myself. Think it would look pretty badass.
This is his first post on the forum it would be strange if you had seen his art on this forum befor xD.
My impression:
The proportions are good. You should however practice drawing hands. And his left arm (the one on the right xD) as well as the bow look a little flat.
Nice drawing.
OH I see what your saying their valpo, the hands do look a little pentagonal somehow… still miles better than I can do ^.^
Thanks :). I shall try and do some more sketches when I have some time.
Additionally, I’ll try throwing though I like having melee as my main fighting style as its easy and you don’t need to manufacture or find any ammo.

Ok, awesome I shall see to doing some studies on hands. Hands I think are pretty hard to draw (obviously :P) correctly with correct form and accurately.
Though I may be better in some aspects, I have to say that you, Litppunk, can draw scenes that illustrate something. For me, I sketch a lot but do a lot less paintings and pieces that are complete with composition and color. That is exactly what I hate, is that I sketch a lot, but I’am lazy to do complete painting and linearts with color :P.
My understanding of sketches is you can use them to experiment with the overall structure of the piece quickly, and they’re easy to erase, then you follow up with a different media (a ink or something) that has different properties in some ways, but is harder to erase. I’m not sure what the point of sketches are if you’re drawing electronically, since you can easily erase everything.
Also helps with getting the general proportions, shape, “flow”, etc down, then working out the details later, so far as I know.
Yeah, technically you can start with the final line work, but doing that takes considerably more time and effort and you end up erasing quite a lot.
Also new avatar, because I was bored of the past ones.
110 is actually rather good though…
wut?

My style in a nutshell,
I’m well versed in the technique of Ctrl-Z.
wut?
Somewhere there was an image of a dude (well, of a stickdude) with a pair of rucksacks and a backpack, acting like they where really, really slow. At the same time they had a speed of 110 listed… I thought it was listed here…
That was a looooooonngg time ago.
Double Post, This place needs drawings
Even if unrelated.

Sketch lines in digital art serve exactly the same purpose in traditional media. They help plan form and structure where none yet exist.
In my case, the very earliest strokes help determine overall posture and pose. Sometimes accidental lines or shades will influence later details. I then reduce its opacity and draw on top. I have a better idea where some lines should go, but most details are still drawn light and sketchy until I’m happier with where they sit.
I think I learned a lot from this. I should definitely read this thread more…
