Perhaphs some gravel paths, mostly in farms and such, or gravel roads.
Perhaps farmers fields could have low stone walls? the tobacco field next door to me has an 80 ft long 5 ft high wall along the treeline of 5-20 lb stones after all. they aren’t mortared or anything; just stacked, so i would imagine something similar in Cata would only require 2 or 3 good hits with a sturdy weapon to knock over the wall… maybe have some snakes and other varmints flee the rubble afterwards.
Very rarely you should find a barrel or PVC pipe with a gun and ammo stored inside. Sometimes failed, sometimes pristine. Metal detector would be cool once that happens.
As for the annual New England stone harvest… Yeah, that’s a thing. A very annoying thing.
