AFAIK, no recipes use diesel at all, its only use is for diesel engines.
Now, I’m not exactly sure what all the differences are between diesel and regular unleaded gasoline, other than diesel is a byproduct, is thicker, has a lower freezing point, and has a higher flash point than regular gasoline; but it should share some basic traits with gasoline, and thus similar uses right?
