This is the category to use to tell everyone about your awesome new idea for features or development direction, and to elicit feedback about the same.
The Lab is a closely related category, but is more focused on features in the process of being implemented, and The Drawing Board is for features still in the idea stage. The acid test is whether you have code or JSON you’re willing to show to someone else, if you do, post it in The Lab, if you don’t, it goes here.
It might even be a good idea to migrate your topic about a feature from The Drawing Board to The Lab once you want to “publish” your new feature.
