Abandoned scenario - frail trait

Does the frail trait always stay with you when you play the abandoned scenario?
I understand starting with it, waking up from a coma, lack of food/water, but i’d like it if you can recover back to full health

Some mutations might override it, but I’ve never had it happen. Generally starting traits are forever. No matter what.

Like my numerous illiterate characters never learn to read despite having everything from lifestyle magazines to technical instructions and chemistry textbooks read to them by NPCs.

Like Trigon said, the only way to get rid of it is to acquire a mutation that will cancel it. Mutating Bear, Beast, Cattle, Chimera, Lizard or Medical for the “Resilient” mutation could fix your problem.

If you don’t want to mutate down one of those lines or mutate at all you are just out of luck.
