It’s pretty much the case, though for shells only the slug, flechette and buckshot are the only rivtech shotgun shells craftable.

As I recall, rivtech ammo normally needs oxidizer, incendiary, plastic chunks, concentrated acid, and the solder-type stuff.

You can also make acid from household batteries, or dismantling vehicle batteries.

EDIT: Tailoring 2 acquired. Also gonna want some cooking skill, so I chased a turkey around in the woods, tossing my battleaxe at it.

EDIT 2: Naturally all that chasing a turkey around, I never encountered any hostiles. But I sit down by a fire to cook some meat? Boom, I get a zombie dog, then a zombie wolf, THEN a zombie cougar. Could you fuckers at least gang up on me instead of staggering your approaches for the maximum amount of crafting interruption? :V

Playing with 50 monster density and wander spawn with a stealth based character. Looting cities is easy now that I have my mobile base. Keeping npcs stealthy as well is the challenge, they won’t accept my damned suppressed guns!!!

It really gets to me that all my npcs but one are using rifles and I have to manually disassemble bullets and make them to reloaded .223 and only they get to use them since I am an archer…

Give them spears. Though wait…can they figure out how to use reach attacks?

EDIT: The NPC has asked me to find patient records in a hospital. There’s one literally across from the cathedral I raided earlier. I suppose if any early-game class can handle it, it’s a barbarian.

I did make an infinite ammo laser rifle for my survivor mod but I lack the skills and materials to make even one not to mention en mass.

Well. These vending machines have proven useful. Got food and drink for a good while. Got backhanded and zapped by a shocker brute, but even that fell before the might of my axe.

After my chef died i made a lumberjill she found a katana in a gun basement and has been happily slicing and dicing zombies while holed up in one of those slick stone houses. This is my first world with wandering hordes on, i did turn the evolution rate up to 10 so i can relax for a bit but i did turn up the spawn rate to 2.5 cause normal zeds are easy even for a noob. I find it extremely easy to avoid hordes as long as i keep quite, slowly been working my way up to car making capabilities since i have 2 humvees and an armored van around me.
