What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

A bee spawned on my bed in my enclosed Trackor trailor and I dont like the new sewing configuration.

Stop asking me if I want to repeat or w.e. and let me go through my thereaputic button pressing

The elephant gun doesn’t seem to drop casings, so I’m pretty much limited to the small amount of .700 NX ammo I got (50 now after a few test shots), and I may have some casings back at base.

It’s a fun rifle that can one-shot nearly all zombies, but in general I got other rifles that are more practical and not bogged down by recoil problems.

try point blank shot at evac shelter wall

I’m pretty sure it works in a revolver like fashion, when you reload it the shells pop out onto the floor.

Nope. I did try that and no casings were dropped.

My fixit senses are tingling, I smell a future PR.

Also…I forgot how bad starting without some tailoring skill can be, especially if you start in just a loincloth, hat, boots and gauntlets in eternal winter.

EDIT: Um. It SHOULD be working. Reload and double-check your immediate area. >.<

well, started to play this game again, city size 10, 8 distance betwen cites, summer 28 days season, started in midle of nowhere (cant find evac shelter) my character is computer hacker but he got skills in nearly everything (first aid, mechanics, electronics, tailor, melee) decided to raid farm not far away from my postion where i got a lot of food, leather backpack, matchbook and steak knife, after i exit home zombie dog decided to attack me of course my skills are so bad that i cant hit it even while is on busch so i droped withered plant on zombie dog and lit it on fire, i got deep wound so i cauterized it on still lit busch it looks good so far

after some traveling finaly found a road and another farm, i got pitchfork, welder (wow, for first time i do not need to search for it!) and working plow tractor with 1% of disel and electricity (wierd, probaly it do not have keys so i will need screwdriver) of course this time i meet some zombies but pitchfork quickly defeat them (by the way, throwing rocks at zombies was nerfed or something? throwing take much more time and do less damage…) got few deep bites and cauterized it (still no infection!)

RNG love me!

Fun Fact about the new city size options: spacing is proportional to size. so city size 10, spacing 8 will have things quite a bit further apart than city size 4, spacing 8.

after ramming some ants near anthill with plowing tractor i finaly found gas stadion
i ran out of fuel just in front of gas stadion
but its AGS and there is not diesel
at least two weeding machines will make surviving easier for some time

plowing tractor lost one plow, one frame (but its gray because its middle part) and one sterrable wide wheel, suprising how much i can drive with high speed on 1% of fuel still in working condition

its going better and better but i do not have fuel

EDIT: armored car not far from plow, it have everything but no controls, if i had hacksaw and wrench…
second gas stadion had some usefull stuff, i have short caseless shotgun and 20 ammo for it, a road map, i think i will make base in armored car until i find wrench and hacksaw

I’ll try update to a new experimental then.

Got so much barrels of malt whiskey. At least ten barrels in total after raiding a series of liquor stores in a nearby town I came across.

If I want vodka, it would probably be a lot faster to convert the malt whiskey into ethanol, then turning that ethanol into vodka. The former takes a minute, and the latter takes a second, compared to the 25 minutes to craft vodka wort.

Certainly tempting to do that, as vodka is a component for several other liquors, and there’s no shortage of malt whiskey. Aside from the barrels, there’s still kegs filled with them.

single barrel shotgun do not leave cassings, its normal?

Neigh

Easiest way to get into a barred-up gun store:

  1. Find a vehicle near a gun store.

  2. Ram the vehicle into the gun store.

  3. Back the vehicle out of the newly formed hole in the gun store.

(optional step) 4. Find that all of the guns and ammo in the gun store are not compatible.

Relooooaaaad. >.<

i need to reload after every shot, no cassings under me
rivtech short shotgun is caseless but single barrel shotgun use normal ammo and do not leave cassings too

You are correct that caselsss bullets do not drop casings.

Cant make more of them, so use them wisely.

The rivtech caseless ammo can be crafted, at least. Aside from the reloaded 5x50mm ammo, the handmade rivtech ammo doesn’t require gunpowder, casings, or primer, and for most part the items required to craft them are easy enough to find/craft, which is one reason why they’re pretty OP.

The regular 12 gauge should be leaving cases though. My bug senses are tingling…

But Ill be sad about it. Short Shotgun is my go-to weapon in ‘Oh Shi-’ Moments.
