Made a farm, harvested many crops, Loaded with them, dehydrated them, set for winter…genetically unstable gives me carnivore…gave up on life,literally.

Yeah, that’s why I’ve been doing the school scenario a lot lately.
I usually use the Poor Student profession since it gives me one extra skill point, and the only real disadvantage it has compared to Student is the lack of a backpack. However, you can usually find (at least) one backpack in the lockers located in the front of the building (the capital “S”), so that’s not a concern. Even if you don’t find one there, zombie children drop them fairly frequently, and the school will be crawling with them.
Thought to myself “I don’t remember really bad day being this brutal” then remembered I was playing with double zombie health/speed
Well, started up a fighter, starter NPC gave me the jabberwock quest. Went and fucked it up. Fencing, plus broadsword, equals Fun.
I might see if the jabberwock quest leads to a quest chain. If not, I’m gonna debug for the relic mission, I want to see how the arcana mod effects the potential loot in the cultist cabin.
EDIT: Weird. It seems setting my default name to Ragnar ALSO named my starter NPC Ragnar.
Yeah, the default name option changes all npc names to that…

EDIT 2: Well, I guess I’m glad that for once I left Mundane Zombies off. Zombie necromancer dropped The Cleansing Flame.

Is there any justification for fumaroles in the game any more? the rest of the stuff I kinda get, but those are from like wayyyyyyy back and I feel like Whales just added them in then 'cuz.
Cataclysm has me spoiled to delicious tilesets though. Funny though, I play with Dwarf Fortress as it comes, but Nethack, Cataclysm DDA, and Doom the Roguelike I got to have tile’lified. :V
EDIT: Still searching for a cathedral, so I can debug my starter NPC to start the relic quest. Also? I got Bowyer’s Buddy, so I might read it and make the repeating crossbow. My archery skill is a tad lacking, so I doubt it’ll be as gloriously OP as it could potentially be.
Don’t repeating crossbows still fire bursts? You’ll learn up nice–well in time for that arcana mod crossbow.
Maybe, but I rarely USE burst fire.
Plus, you know, the magic crossbow use arcana skill, not archery. X3

Also, to train with crossbows just stand a couple of tiles away from a tree and rapid fire wooden bolts into said tree.
