What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

normal world, use grenades near fuel pump to break walls

Gah… Those giant wasps are vicious.
I was working on my best character so far, the first one I’d had that had survived longer than a season. I was cannibalizing one of those hippie vans for parts on the Savior, my pickup truck (I’d converted it into a living space with parts from an RV, and added panels from a solar car.) and was making good headway when I saw a message that a giant wasp was approaching. I ran the two tiles to the Savior’s hatch (as a precaution, I kept a loaded handgun on both the hatches to the exterior-- a .45 in one and an autorevolver in the other.) and was promptly stung to death before I could remove the weapon.
;_; starting from scratch again…

And that is why the best place for a pistol is in your inventory. ;w;

its why i wear 4 holsters and every holster have loaded gun in it
new gun storage items are awesome

You can never have too many holsters.

2 sheaths 2 another knives in boots butchering tool in belt 2 scabbads with katanas 2 holsters 2 shoulder holsters and one or two back holsters (one probaly for heavy modified laser pistol) only i do not use ankle holsters

Never has your icon been more appropriate.

I am basically covered in holsters, ankle holsters, back holsters, a utility belt with hunting knife and a scabbard with a katana.

My encumberance is so insanely high that the katana is useless even with niten-ichi-ryu.

Who needs it? I am covered in guns. I have a ridiculously highly modified .454 Casull with a grenade launcher on it as my BACKUP weapon.

Now if someone would just unf*** the crafted ammo damage so it would be good enough to use again…

Currently making samurai armor and it’s weapons for a epic battle.
Just made the armor and assorted helmet. I need a kimono and a pair of tabi to finish the set.

Ah, nice. Now if only we had a tachi… o3o
Now if someone would just unf*** the crafted ammo damage so it would be good enough to use again…
Already done. You just need to update to the latest experimental. It was something that was bothering me pretty heavily as well.

Now…HNNNNNG. Damn you satellite net. I should be waiting until I’m on the laptop elsewhere to see about porting my latest adventurer over to the new version, but I’m impatient and grabbing the latest version now. Plus that way I can test out the new JSONized artifact properties.

EDIT: HOLY SHIT. The skill scaling setting goes all the way up to a max of 100 times as fast.

I remembered a version where to someone with no gun experience would refer to specific types of guns as things like “9mm pistol” or “service rifle”. It was strange but I kinda enjoyed it nonetheless.

I have a question. When you use a vehicle mounted weapon (or when a vehicle turret fires) does it collect the casings from a solid ammo gun in the seat/turret or are they lost?

It falls to the ground.

This sounds like something that needs rectifying.

Any chance of an installable casing catcher bag to put on the vehicle tile with the gun on it?

Just make the casings pile up in the turret’s ammo bin or whatever.

So I just recently discovered the effectiveness of reach attack weapons. Upgraded from the knife spear to a survivor naginata and decided because at this point they’re basically dirt cheap material wise, I’d mass produce them to throw at NPCs for an impromptu militia. The results have been pretty spectacular, if I could just get them in some proper armor and fighting in a formation, it’d be something magicial.

Given my experience with NPCs and firearms though… I’m afraid right now these guys just running around are gonna wind up skewering me or each other eventually.

I’ve recently made Japanese traditional armor. Tried to make it as close to a real samurai as possible (The only differences is the footwear and a bit more non-traditional clothing since it’s winter)

I like to throw my naginata at hulks and have them stick in them, then dramatically draw my katana and charge at them.

Back to my old game (May-ish) where I found an intact solar car soon after start. Wandered around a bit after dark, found an intact electric scooter but the battery ran out very quickly. I dragged it the rest of the way to my base on the city outskirts.

The downside of this game is that I have no weapons to speak of (save for a damaged survival knife), no armor save for piled up clothing, and no skills apart from throwing. And now I’m very thirsty and hungry.
