What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

And next time you play, I assume you’ll have to deal with the animatronic mod monsters. In Soviet Russia, fursuit wears you!

Robotnik did nothing wrong.

But wait I just had an awesome idea.

What if… if you put on the Furry suit… the evil animatronics become your friends?

After all, you’re covering up your endoskeleton as per company policy.

And I know this kind of thing is possible in the coding.

My derp senses are tingling. =w=

Most of the time i find those fursuits in science labs.
Those must have been populated mostly by furry nerds.
That also explains some of their mutagen research.

So yeah who know what the owner woulda done to you if still alive… reading those lab notes isn t reassuring either.

Uh,so I got a minifridge set up but I’m unclear on something. If I have the engine set to off, but the fridge set to on, is the fridge then working?

I ask because I had stuff in the fridge and it still went “off”. I’m not sure how long it keeps stuff fresh for but it seemed that in Winter food lasted pretty much forever without going rotten.

Yes as long as the car has baterie power left.

Turned on mundane zombies and turned off revivification to make my experience a bit more classic-feeling. Turned the season to winter to make it harder, but it’s still been way too easy. Found a broadsword in a pawn shop and I’ve been unstoppable since.

I really wanted to do a mundane zombies run but it ends up trivial as hell.

Edit: Maybe turning on wander spawns would help, but I’ve never really liked how it works.
ps Option 1 wont work, there zombies that the security bots will attack and will lose to if something like a armored zombie spawns

plutonium fuel cells? glad they don’t cause mini nuke style radiation falloff
Sure, zombies in the room (almost any zombie, really) will EVENTUALLY kill the secubots… but that is A) several orders of magnitude longer before it happens, and B) not guaranteed to happen RIGHT NEXT TO THE LOOT.

The quickest solution is just to have the loot always sealed up. Seriously, bam, solved.

Turn the spawns up, turn the loot down, add fast zombies/strong zombies/both and have at 'er.
EDIT: Even nightvision zombies if you’re a masochist.

I found a winchester model 70. I am complete. Just need to find some ammo for it. Technical lost a whole wheel section, too. Still drives, so nothing to worry about.

This is what I’m doing right now, fast and though zeds, 3.5 spawns, 0.4 item spawns, but with an edited mundane spawns which removes less zeds.

I wanted to make something "28 days later"ish, with zombies running at you like crazy mother fuckers. And it is hard as fuck, I can’t outrun some zombies even with quick+fleet-foot, my fatigue dies out before they loose sight of me, unless the terrain is favorable to get them lost.

I also had horde spawns on for a bit, but I really don’t like how they work so I turned them off.

Blacklisted zeds:
"mon_bear_smoky",
    "mon_boomer_fungus",
    "mon_zombie_runner",
    "mon_zombie_predator",
    "mon_zombie_hunter",
    "mon_zombie_corrosive",
    "mon_zombie_acidic",
    "mon_zombie_electric",
    "mon_zombie_necro",
    "mon_zombie_hulk",
    "mon_zombie_master",
    "mon_zombie_brute_shocker"
Holy crap. I was looting a liquor store trying to get some hops.

And I found a GIGANTIC BARREL containing single malt whiskey. 2800 units of single malt whiskey.

Time to find a way to mount this in my tank cockpit.

would be careful with that, the PC can’t even down a single gallon jug of cheep wine without dieing (may of been one of my stupidest deaths ever, that tieing for using a adrenaline injector as a asthmatics …speaking of that… Asthmatics can use it in an emergency to clear their asthma)

A single adrenaline injector shouldn’t really affect your stimulant level enough to accidentally trigger another attack, but there’s always that risk. Given how common inhalers are and how many uses you get out of each if your forced to use an adrenaline injector to starve off an asthma attack your probably not long for this world anyway.

I kinda forgot about editing the game like that, I should do that for my mundane zombie list as well as I’ve been running a few 28 Days Later inspired runs recently.

I’d like make a mod where at night the zombies get fast and have nightvision, but during the day they go back to being clumsy fools.

Side note: Survived a run in with a minor horde. Still haven’t found any ammo for my model 70, but managed to get my technical into a secured garage that had a few useful things and am now on the hunt for some welding goggles. A welder would be nice too, but an acetylene torch will have to suffice if I don’t find one along with a pair of goggles. If you can use one for car construction, not entirely sure. Can you make welding goggles?
EDIT: Both my legs broke due to a basement full of survivor zombies, smoker zombies, and a mishap with a grenade. Rethinking my choice on taking Slow Healer + Frail now .-.

Well, started up another adventure, this time I’m testing a PR I have for More Survival Tools that mainly trades the wanderer’s bow for a crossbow. Lot more hit-and-run, but also a lot easier to handle carving wood bolts versus fletchery.

Also trying out the disabling cities setting, makes it a lot less tempting to break my current “stay innawoods, and limit yourself to what you can carry in inventory” conduct.

Speaking of crossbows are we really going to ignore that we make them in DDA without fletching them? They should be made in the same way as arrows as far as I’m aware.

True, though that does remove the delicious simplicity of them. ;w;

That would be realistic. Crossbows are harder to make and use than bows.

Actually this would give an actual reason to use the “bullet crossbow” which is currently pretty pointless.

I meant the simplicity of the bolts, not the crossbow itself. That’s already only learnable via book. >.>

4 zombie hulks played volleyball with my 119 day survivor. I’d almost made it back to day 1 of spring for the first time after beginning to think I was invincible. Head-to-toe winter survivor gear and a small arsenal of firearms didn’t save John Lachlan from the pain train.
