What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Foot wraps, hand wraps, and chestwrap? Reinforce with kevlar, until you can make an XL survivor suit. X3

Yeah thats what im doing so far, looting is a massive pain in the ass due to my inability to wear any of my normal volume increasing equipment choices, however some googlefu revealed that i would be able to use a heavy survivor rugsack, which i have yet to find a book on how to craft but atleast i got a really good hideout with lots of good stores close by.

Shopping cart is your friend.

If I recall correctly, you get the recipe for that automatically once your skills are high enough. Tailoring, I think, but it may also require some fabrication.

You can craft cloth and leather pouches that’ll give you a little extra storage with absolutely no skill in tailoring. They’re the only oversized storage clothing until you hit survivor gear. A wheel barrow or shopping cart are defintely your best friends in this situation.

Well, fisting shoggoths is ineffective.

I found a Jedi Cloak. It adds 50 warmth, and it’s mid summer. Still going to wear that sucker. I just turned on the climate control bionic.

So far this ice lab has had eight armories on floor 2-4.
Well that was impressively morbid. D:

EDIT: After enduring many, many shocks trying to enable the emergency cleanse to destroy a mi-go…

“Unable to reach network router or proxy. Please contact your system administrator to reseolve this issue.”

Who would make a “purge the hostile experiment in the containment cell” thingy that needs internet? D:
It is probably the internal network. My company has many routers and various proxies between some in order to segment them. When you handle 1/5th of the worlds payroll, you need a large network.

Excellent idea, make something as simple as “gas shoggoth, or we get eaten” rely on such things. =w=

NPCs and hordes might both be broken, but they mix to make the apocalypse experience feel so right.

I started helping two guys trying to start a farm commune, when a horde heard a nearby police turret and came to kill everything. I tried to pull them away and kill them all… a process that got me a crippled car and a narrow escape with my life despite expending literally thousands of rounds of ammunition. In the end, I only bought them one more night before the horde ripped down the walls and slaughtered them.

So I went back to the refugee center and was going to get them some plutonium for their generator from a nearby military base. But when I returned from my shopping trip, it was to the sound of gunfire and explosions. The entire building was packed with Zs, and everyone inside was dead or dying. All I could do was get back in the car and drive away feeling sad while the building went up in flames behind me.

Rest in peace, NPCs. You’ve come a long way from trying to eat a None.

It’s always FUN to finally found a refugee center only to find it located next to those bloody shrooms.
Triffid can be taken care of and blobs don’t hurt NPCs if you don’t let em see them, but the shrooms bring death.
They ought to have some better defences like razorwire & pits.

So I’m bicycling through a small town on my way to its library, only to discover a marloss bush randomly growing in the middle of the street, surrounded by kreks, grackens, a flaming eye, and an amoebic mold. Funky.

So I just found a misshapen fetus in a trash can of the local restaurant.

GG.

After What I Said Earlier And Make A 55 Gallon Drum Filled With A Selective Mutagen, I’m Proud To Announce I’ve actually Done It!

Now Then, Who Dares Me To Chug All Of This Down In One Go? (Well, Not Exactly “One Go” Because He’ll Need To Recuperate Ever-So-Often)
To Be Honest, I’ll Be Chugging It Anyway.

46 Day Season*

Chug, chug, chug, chug!

Shotgun that shit… chugalug

A couple of days ago my trapper lead a group of zombies, including a kid, into a minefield. While checking the bodies, she found some crack, on the kid - Jesus, kids nowadays!!! I also found a scratched cash card on a zombie cop, so I headed to a hotel and emptied the vending machines there. I seriously cannot wait for the day when I am able to carry items within items! Then I would be able to load the suitcase that I found in the hotel with all that delicious food - and not have to drop the whole lot, every time I want to get into combat!

I then headed west, and found an LMOE shelter on the edge of some woods. W00T WOOT!!! In it I found a Mosin carbine with 20 rounds of ammo, which is good, seeing as the NPC in my starting shelter has asked me to get some data from his PC - except that there’s a shocker brute in the house. Killing that will be fun.

The biggest problem at the moment though is that my computer has died on me. It’s the motherboard, and I now have to wait until the middle of next week for the replacement to arrive. Then I can hopefully deal with that shocker brute. It’s gonne be a hard wait. Reading through this thread will help though…

I’m sorry to hear that. Shocker brutes aren’t known for their discretion towards technology.

LOL I did wonder if, by some totally FUBAR occurrence, the shocker brute had predicted his impending doom, and had somehow caused my mobo to die…

The fourth wall will not protect you. ;w;
