I’ve finally gotten a really bad day start that’s not going totally awful (ie, not dying within twenty seconds). My starting NPC gave me a First Aid Kit when I said I’d find his dog, so I handled the infection and a totally absolutely minor head crippling with that (thanks, feral hunter), before crawling into the nearby mostly unoccupied house (just a decayed guy in one room, he doesn’t seem to try to use the doors, though). It had a pantry, thank god, and I’ve been living off of canned dumplings and toilet water for a few days now. We’ll see how this ends…
Probably in acute vomiting, but good luck!

The vomiting is rough, but it staves off the thirst from the flu pretty well, at least, until this toilet runs out. Thanks!
Because boiling water is for leetle babies. :V
Found a ‘battle rifle conversion’ mod. Extra damage. Going to put it on my G3 rifle, which already has a hefty +8 damage. Or maybe I should go the other way and now lay waste with a BB gun? But it’s probably not possible to attach it to a BB gun… Either way, fun times ahead!
May the odds be ever in your favor!
Mostly because if I go outside I have a 999% chance of dying, and I don’t even have a way of lighting a fire. Doing some reading, now, although with withdrawal I never get more than 1% increments but it’s not like I’ve got a better way to pass the time.
- Acquire a doorway.
- Smash doorway until dirt remains.
- Acquire rocks, string, and a 2x4 to make a stone shovel, if possible.
3.5. Or acquire a normal shovel, if possible. - Dig a deep pit where the doorway used to be.
- Acquire more string, and cut wood into skewers, to make a fire drill, if possible.
- ???
- PROFIT!
Man, the hydraulic muscles worked well with my current combo of brass knuckles, centipede style, and an electroshock unit. Against a hulk, my character felt like an anime character shooting out lightning bolts from her fist.
Need to find the chain lightning and railgun bionic to complete the lightning theme.

And Dielectric Capacitance - need to be immune to it yourself, right?
Yeah. Might as well find that speed boosting bionic and get the road runner mutation for the lightning fast look. Maybe the time dilation as well for a super mode.
Now make sure you have Mythological Replicas on and become Thor.
EDIT: And don’t forget your shrooms!
Anyways, decent armor seems to be the only solution to corrosive zeds. A light survivor suit seems to do the trick; will still get hurt by shocks and hulks, but acid damage seems to be barely there.
Still trying to have the lightest armor possible. Torso enc only at 13, which is the best I could do since I need the runner pack to carry some food. Aside from the head and torso, everything is at below 10 encumbrance.
Clearing out a weirdass town (You know… the ones that generate in a square and are the same every time and are totally something else.) in hopes of finding foodstuffs among other things, at the moment it’s not going well.
One thing I have discovered however, throwing axes and the magnetic pulling CBM are a splendid combination.
The one with Fun in the sewers and a salon up top? owo
randomly generated cataclysm, heh.
my pussycat woke me up 3 hours after falling asleep >BU I feel that fits the bill.
let me put on a pair of makeshift sun glasses and grin
way i understand it- previously you were able to put two fitting - easily layering - 0ENC items on each layer.
currently- as the talk about ‘easy layering’ items being removed goes- any amount encumberance stacks throughout All items- on All layers per bodypart.
unzipped hoody + backpack for example
While neither of them feels quite as fitting as a tanktop you wouldn’t feel as tho they’re fighting eachother making matters feel twice as cumbersome. >_>
which is the way it is now from my understanding, due to the fact that ENC values below what used to be “1” now stack.
The very one.
Nothing I hate more than a fungal bloom set next to a town. Cleanup is a nightmare and it’s raining.
Tilling the soil on fungal ground seems to change the terrain. Not sure if that works but I want peace of mind from bloody fungal terrain.
The very one.[/quote]
Lots of fun down below… especially with a high spawn rate.
Re: Encumbrance - you go put on a hoodie and a trenchcoat and start swinging for the moon. It’s going to slow you down and get in your way. It doesn’t mean you have to start with Melee 1, just be super careful. You know, like you’d have to be in the apocalypse fighting zombies when you’re entirely untrained.
Lately I’ve noticed something interesting with spider basements. Due to zombie evolution, eventually I’ll encounter spider basements where the usually dead zombies rallied and won against sheer numbers. There was one with a dead hulk that pretty much decimated nearly every spider before going down. Another had all spiders dead with a necromancer and a brute killing everything.
Seriously, necromancers revive things like crazy. Quite fun since before that they just seemed to stand around doing nothing at all.
