What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

Installed the uncanny dodge CBM. Turns out, it doesn’t make you dodge bullets and it isn’t even that good at dodging normal melee attacks. Poop. Next, I tried out the active defense CBM. Turns out, it only shields you from a tiny amounts of damage and is useless against firearms as well. Darn, there went my theoretical anti-turret build. Looks like it’s back to power armor :slight_smile:

Heavy survivor gear reinforced and lined with kevlar pretty much shrugs them off too.

Not milspec turrets - they cut through that like a hot knife through butter.

Actually, a hot knife WISHES it cut through butter that well. Ouchie.

But yeah, they REALLY need to change the description on the Uncanny Dodge CBM, as it’s just plain wrong.

And don’t even ask what it takes to tank the AM turrets.

I feel bad for anyone who accidentally figured out that Uncanny Dodge doesn’t work the “hard way” :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t. owo

Feral predator horde was wating for me outside. Proceed to fight them normally. Get puctured to almost dead. Wield MP5 and start unloading on them. Survive BARELY with bleeding torso and almost 100 pain. More ferals closing in, thank god I got some hemostatic powder. Reload and proceed continue fire on them.

Liquor store for fuel and/or antiseptic, have 2 NPC allies with me. Fared rather well clearing out anything that managed to get in, a trio of melee users camping a doorway is very effective, and I can shift to engage the few zeds that came into the store via the windows and door opposite the entryway we were camping.

EDIT: I fucking love this new feature.

The purge has begun.

There’s still around 9 or 10 in my map of varying fungal zones. Pretty much all of them are far from my reality bubble, but that’s not the important thing. The important thing is that they’re in my map.

Everything will burn. If the forest goes down, then so be it. Besides, I clear out forests regularly so I can have a nice path for my vehicle.

So far, got three full steel jerrycans of napalm, a simple flamethrower to burn down the fungal ground, melee weapon to kill the cental Mycus, lots of royal jelly just in case since I don’t have power armor. Also got a tent, a rollmat, and some ambien for camping out so I can wait for the fire to go out.

A truly glorious sight. And so began the end of the fungaloid reign…

I think my shelter is safely far enough from the nearest fungal region. I has booze, soon I shall imitate yur Opus Magnum there. owo

EDIT: Halp, I has a weird thing.

Spoiler due to large image:

got mission to kill jabberwock too

jabberwock ignored me and chased turkey
i lost 4 days for looking around to find that monster but i run out of atomic coffe so maybe i will randomly meet him someday
npc died too after brute bashed down police stadion during my looting run

My jabberwock remains non-existent. ;w;

Your jabberwock is probably happily chasing a rabbit right now.

Attention back to the Fungal Flowers. 5 molotov cocktails isn’t enough. Nothing is enough. All will burn, to purge the wicked Mycus. ;A;

EDIT: AHAHAHAH. PUUURGE. CHEATS FOR THE CHEAT GOD. TANK SHELLS FOR THE TANK SHELL THRONE.

All hail fire. We should make fire the fourth, and supreme, faction.

And count me in with Jabberwocks that aren’t there. In my case, quest giving NPC was under a lab. I didn’t get any coordinates when I accepted the mission.

you do not goet any coordinates because you was underground and there is no forrest so jabberwock do not have where to spawn

Passing through a flyspeck town, slowing down to navigate between the wrecked cars, what do I see but no less than 20 Hulks heading straight for me. Floored that accelerator and smashed through more than a few fences on my way out of there.

Then I mounted a couple of railgun turrets to the front of my truck and came back :evilsmile:

Jabberwock quest eventually failed, I never did see it spawn where the co-ords said it was.

And yes, all hail fire. And tankbot guns.

I got quest to kill zombie mom. With half zombie speed, zombie mom escaped the scene never to be seen (again?).
