I got another cold despite eating right and not doing drugs. (My save file says I have a Healthy score of 12.)
I’m aware that it’s a numbers game and being healthy just reduces chance of catching a cold instead of completely eliminating it but I am still a sad bear. At least this character has a base Strength and Intelligence of 10 and I already read my hardest books, rather than the bratling with Strength 6 and Intelligence 8 who was pretty much crippled when she got a cold.
I was getting chased down by a mi-go nearby a mine entrance, so I ran into a forest and started to use my lighter to set fire to everything. I got out of the forest and apparently it stopped chasing me. Objective completed, I guess.

It’s advisable to at least keep around at least for wearing while reading, extensive crafting, sleeping, and smoker zombies.

I have a survivor mask I keep in my bike’s gear compartment for encounters with smokers and bloaters. It’s very strong environmental protection and only encumbers by 1. You are probably right that I should take to wearing it more often. (Or at least drink some Medical mutagen and get Disease Resistant or something.)
I just reached some of my goals:
1 full aluminum keg full of mutagen, 1 full aluminum keg full of purifier and a plastic jerrycan full of ALPHA SERUM (just because I can and I still have 1 55 gallon drum of ammonia and bleach each for more!). It’s so niece if you have relative easy access to materials for some mutagens (sewage treatment plant, triffid grove, ant hill, some randomly walking and multiplying fungals and loads of forest nearby, all nicely connected via road). Ofc I’m already in my 3rd year, have nearly all CBMs (even teleport), 8k power for them and I’m a Alpha.
I think I should search for some fungal spires and punch them in the face, I’m bored and I would love to expand my food variation. Over 3k units of human jerky, dehydrated human flesh, mannwurst, a small amount of other meats, over 2k units of flour and other stuff doesn’t cut it, I WANT MARLOSS!
The more mobile members of your species getting you down? American flags and Hummers not bringing up your spirits? Wish there was a way you could flaunt both your patriotism and your disability?
Coming this spring from the Haybatsu-Electric Mobility Corporation, a new line of our state of the art personal transportation devices, the Eviscerator Mobile Scooter. Built only with luxury in mind.
The Eviscerator series comes fully equipped with ceramic-composite military-grade armor plating, UltraBose surround-sound speakers, kickin’ floodlights and highbeams for impromptu parties, and even a built-in industrial faucet to attach your jugs of Mountain Dew to.
WARNING: Driving your Eviscerator Mobile Scooter on anything other than perfectly level sidewalks at no more than 12 miles per hour voids your Haybatsu-EM warranty. Due to lack of seatbelt or harness, it is recommended to keep your infants tucked into the storage compartment rather than on the seat. Drivers over the age of 85 should instead choose the HN-55 Remote Control system, allowing concerned family members to take control in emergency situations, such as when Grandma needs bourbon from the store.
The Eviscerator. You’ll show THEM who’s a sweaty fatass!
That thing’s gonna need a bigger gas tank. Also an alternator.
With the cargo carrier on-board, storage of gas jerrycans isn’t a problem. Sure, it runs out of juice before it can even hit top speed… And of course the EM Eviscerator is sold with an optional solar-cell array to recharge those pesky batteries.
Well, I have finally decided to start working on the God Challenge character in cataclysm, 30 deaths later, I am now FINALLY having a decent run, by which i mean i’m having spectacular luck.
Started as a military recruit with above average cutting skill, get put in a burning house situated right next to a pawn-store, quickly grab some supplies and run out of the burning house before I die. Proceed to not notice the pawn store till all the enemies are dead, check it out, door’s locked, break open the door, it has a wakazashi, trench-knife, and TWO Zweihanders, I take all of them except the trench knife, as well as a golden watch, there is an antique store about 5 map tiles away, guarded by a shocker brute, I proceed to fill the brute full of lead. I then proceed to walk into the antique store, and right there, on a glass pedestal, sits a Nodachi, 50 cutting damage blade of death, I drop ONE of my zweihanders in exchange for it, and there’s a gunstore RIGHT NEXT TO THAT. Joyous. oh, and then, to add onto that, about 10 tiles away, there are 2 helicopter crash sites on the tile NEXT to eachother, not a single real gap, which then OVERLAP with a dead scientist squad!
Excuse the poor grammar, I am hyped up on a good 200 mg of caffeine and that REALLY takes the ‘oh hey that’s not right’ outta me.
So I started up Cataclysm in an attempt to build THE ULTIMATE Ryndren Advanced Automotives vehicle. (I NEEDED A NAME, IT WAS THE FIRST THAT CAME TO MIND.)
Besides the usual dieing in the first sixteen hours, I managed to survive long enough to stumble upon a rat cave.
And get turned. Bad things happened. I managed to make it back to the surface but the metabolism killed me.
Then seven Mi-Gos got to eat a parasite infected, heavily mutated corpse.

Jesus Christ, did you actually survive dropping a nuclear bomb on yourself? I mean, not for long with two broken arms and a broken leg, but goddamn. I hope you’re not too far from a secured Mr. Stem Cell.

Actually, none of that damage was from the bomb. My right leg has been broken for a week or so, and hasn’t healed because I’m too reckless, and all the other damage is from hacking into the computer. Bombs ain’t shit to Faust the Pizza Boy.

So my current game has like four bloody military bunkers in the town I spawned in, and that’s only the ones I know about. I really only had enough ID cards for one (not even to open all the doors), but I read my Computers books and have a Fingerhack bionic installed, so everything was OK (except I ended up fuckering a couple doors in one of the bunkers and need to go back with an acetylene torch or something).
I found a Granade in the fourth one. I’m not sure what I’ll do with it yet.
