If i finde you as an enemy i ll kill you and then weld you directly to my car. No way i can carry all that.
I imaging he keeps them in scabbards that he wears. No space taking just weight and maybe encumbrance.
I decided to journey around the area I live in and discovered that the town I’m in is near 4 or 5 large towns that connected together to form a huge town. I was also able to find a triffid grove, an ant hill and a LMOE shelter. And it’s the worst LMOE shelter ever! its deep in a forest and is surrounded by swamp. D:
Triffids…I like triffids. Not only do they provide good veggie to eat, they give plant fibers for various works and fluid sacs for various uses.
Until such a time that triffids and the other creatures begin to expand in territory over time I shall never take down a triffid grove.
I’ve now posted on these forums a couple times, generally about my characters’ brilliant successes and the terrible ways they’ve died as a direct result of my stupidity.
Today, though… Today, is not one of those days. Today, my survivor-of-33-days Herrith Sebon was taking his mobile military-plated base for its first test drive, exploring a new section of the map. He was tearing down the road at around 70 miles per hour in a fully fueled, fully-stocked vehicle that was wholly armored and built from an APC. It was as he drove this incredible vehicle at incredible speeds that he spotted a tank drone on the horizon, guarding a military blockade.
Sigh. I don’t generally live long enough to have awesome vehicles and well-equipped characters, and on the ONLY occasions that I have done so, they’ve died to military ordinance like that tank drone. So even as I’m slamming on my brakes and trying to get the hell out of dodge, I know it’s over. There’s no way I can survive this; there was never any way. It was inevitable. I know I’m being proven right as the first explosive rounds pelt the front of my vehicle while I’m still moving towards it. My trenchcoat is shredded by debris, my arm is crippled. An entire chunk of the craft is torn free and left in the road. My vehicle comes to a stop and the thing is still firing. Again and again and again, the APC is pelted by explosives as I back up and turn to let the side of the vehicle take the brunt of the damage.
And then, incredibly, I made it out of range. The front of my would-be fortress is in shambles, and my torso health was a single red semicolon, but… I survived. I survived to see day 34 of the cataclysm, and I learned a valuable lesson in the process; don’t go down that road again.
gg no re
In all my time playing this game, never once have I seen a tank drone. I did recently see a chicken walker, but that didn’t end well.
I imagine I’d have a very bad day if I ever got within range of one, I doubt even power armor could save me.
I survived a voley of it with survivor clothing and kevlarvest + dragonskin.
However you ll proly be in lots of pain then an in need of something powerfull to escape … like time stop or invisibility.
my 1 tile bike allowed me to escape tankbot at 48 km/h
military apc with far better engie and armor cant escape it
btw. spiked plating+quarterpanel resist up to 7 HEAT rounds
i just doused a fire in the doorway i accidently set there.
Now i can t close the door because the milk i spilled is in the way XD
Day one in the zone: A cougar followed me back from hunting for rocks. Now I have no pants, because they got destroyed when I tried to repair them. On the plus side, I can eat the cougar.

Make a mop and use it on the tile.
Day 7 in the zone: I have a working car and am not actively starving to death. Also I found an itchy spiral. It appears to be radioactive and make blood come out of the walls, so in other words it’s a neat party trick but not much else.
Edit: I stepped on a fucking land mine at the start of a night raid. God. Dammit. I even noted that there was a minefield there.
Fuck notes no ones gunna tell me where i go not even me /proceeds like a boss.
So i ran out of water and drank one of my car batteries.

First: You can do that?
Second: How’d that turn out for you?
Well if you dissasemble a car battery you ll get clean water, concentrated acid ,plastik chunks , the lead plates and some scrap i think.
be sure to hold enough containers for the liquids as you ll have to spill them on the floor if you dont.
Its like uh 12 clear water and 3 conc. acid? not sure — forgot. try it. (best with 2 gallon jugs for the liquids)
The clear water is ofc drinkable without any risk… i wouldn t recommend the concentrated acid though.
So yeah i totaly drank(mostly) my car battery w/o any repercussions.(apart from gettin slaked.)
edit: i haven t tried drinking it directly … i am no sure whther you can or not but i d have to be desperate enough (meaning unable to get water any other way including dismantling the battery) to even think about trying it…
You just know the game wants to keep you down whenyou start out with the starting building flanked by a hoard of dog zombies, two shocker brutes, a shocker, and two hunters. Huff.
Kill them all like a boss or die trying. In any case FUN is bound to happen. If you die reroll . Its the start no harm done :D.
I actually enjoy dieing that way ( am i weird then ?)
Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead: The only game where saying “I have a refrigerator dedicated to alcohol and I have six steel gas cans full of vodka” doesn’t make you an alcoholic, just prepared.

CDDA: Flipping logic, chemistry, and physics the bird for years. On that note I guess I’m gonna start snagging every battery I see on the road, mostly for the acid. That stuff is more valuable than ammo.
