What's Happening in YOUR Randomly-generated Apocalypse?

I never tried ajusting the spawnrate after worldgen.
Maybe it doesn t work.
The spawn rate’s set to 50 in my world.

There’s not enough zombies. Each day, I wade through a ocean of broken corpses to turn more zombies into corpses.

I started out on a really bad day, with 14 STR, 14 INT, 8 DEX, 8 PER as a shower victim with two in dodge, melee, and tailor. The spawn rate at that point was the default one. After each season, I would open the world option screen and rise the spawn rate by one.

Now, I have 20 STR, 19 INT, 8 DEX, 10 PER. I’m more machine than man.

There’s just not enough zombies. I don’t think changing the settings in world affects the spawning rate.

Maybe I’m just used to this much zombies spawning.
Started shower victim, my last few posts have been from this game BTW. I don’t even remember my starting stats anymore.

Stranth 22, Dex 15, Int 15, Per 17. Primarily lizard but through a clusterfuck of targeted and untargeted mutagen mixed with purifier I can safely say I don’t qualify as human anymore. What isn’t lizard is bionic. HUMANITY IS WEAK.

That said I haven’t been able to purify away the fast metabolism and I’m burning through fuel in just about all flavors. Currently looking for a body of water to purify and store in the MFB.

Quick test starting at 5.0 spawn rate, looking around in a town, then changing to 50.0 and teleporting until finding another city 1’18 to east. The number of zombies surely increase, but less than i expected. 483 zombies around in 5.0, 1930 in 50.0. Can’t conclude anything without more testing or checking the code, but don’t have time now

That’s cool!

So a little night stroll tot he local library turned into a little “shopping” in a museum in which I picked up a zweihander, plate armor and a couple of relics. I am now going to consider the Center a church/shrine thing to The Cat

Still can’t find fitting hand wear beyond my crappy hand wraps

I think I have the one of the strangest mixes of clothing

Oh right i love posting pictures.

Heres my survivor i started 2 days ago.

I am going 0.1 item spawn a 3 times enemies with her.
skill rust is set ti int .
+hordes
no random npc.
static npcs enabled.

trying to find a chemistry book somewhere.

got lucky just now found the dao of handguns in a lab by chance … i feel blessed

not using any bionics so nothing to show there.

*edit: iwant some handsome whiskers too but i can t find a journal from team dione at all…

Is that German? Whats that under what would ‘effects’ or ‘Wirkungen’ in that pic?

Its a debug message.

Some effect isn t displayed correctly.

edit: Yes thats German.

edit2: Just ran into a trurret and took a burst to the face.

In my new survivor on my home PC, I started in an evac shelter 1 diagonal away from the edge of town. Got a food dehydrator, sunglasses and a trenchcoat in there then went next door. Next door has a garage with a full compliment of tools available and a fully functional car, all green parts and with 80% gas and electric. Yay! It’s like Christmas! And only a month early!

It’s been a while since I played, but it looks like I still have my skills. Just only two days in, I have a nice base set up (all organized!) and a small supply of food. And a whole bunch of guns but without matching ammo. Dammit.

Today it seems, that I’ll be looting a neighborhood that I neglected since I moved into this little pharmacy.

I love Robik’s container mod. It makes it all the better for immersion when I pull out a Molotov from my messenger bag or reload my Saiga from it.

Spiking npc food with questionabel things like poison or mutagens would be totaly awesome.
But as of now npcs don t eat or drink :(
using mutagen on npc should be a thing, at least serum with that syrgine
Nope.

Unilaterally injecting an NPC (or spiking the food supplies, etc) is not happening. Same reasoning as the NSFW thread. Thanks for not asking again.

Just found a pack of nuclear gangbangers, never thought you would deal some packs of heroin along with mininukes

Hopeful you figure out what’s up with that. I would love to have to swim across a ocean of living corpses one day, when enough seasons have passed. (I rise the spawn rate by 1 each season)

Is it possible to remove the limiter? Make it so you can set it to like, 1000 spawn rate?

So apparently zombies can spawn in the evac shelter basement, and the basement seems to have alot more loot when they do. One time there was a shocker unfortunately… otherwise I got multiple backpacks, all the food and water I could need for weeks as well as some books and electronics. I don’t know if this is intended, or just a result from one of the recent experimental. I kind’ve think it should be an optional thing, perhaps with alot more zombies in it.

If this isn’t intended I have no idea what caused it. I only run boats and no religious texts mod, and have gotten it with and without static/random npcs and zombie spawns.

It’s random.

Kito McUrist is being reborn. Not as a bionic-bow wielding killing machine, but just one tailor in the world of the cataclysm, resorting to guns nowadays.

Not even an hour ago, Kito just had a wake up call with death. In the basement of a old house, she was greeted with the horrible visage of a goddamn zombie hulk sitting in the corner. She flicked her trusty AK47 into full auto and started to pump lead into it. But after filling it with an entire 7.62 magazine, it still standing and right next to her. She quickly reached for her 12 pistol she kept loaded with a slug for just this situation, but as she pulled it out the hulk sent her flying through three rows of metal racks and into a rock wall. This didn’t faze her as much as it should of, because she quickly had her AK47 back in her hands and reloaded it with perfect accuracy. As the hulk charged at her, she popped it with two more bursts. It slid along the ground, ending at her feet. Sadly, her leg was almost broken and almost out of ammo for her AK. But that basement was luckily a weapons basement, so she quickly found ammo and some 5.56 weapons.

And Ka, I love the rifle round revolver.

Edit: Annnd Kito just found a book with the recipe for a Reflex recurve bow. Goddang it. Screw it, I’ll just keep using guns.

I hate how the game sometimes decides to fuck up my hotkeys for shits and giggles. Once it replaced f, which is usually my dive knife, with ammonia.

I picked up some jeans, quickly hit a->f, and drank ammonia.
