After setting a triffid grove on fire and slaying the heart, I went to the bottom of a mine and found an amigara fault. Let’s see what sweet artifact I get this time.
The artifacts I find invariably seem to creatively murder my characters. I’ve given up on them, now.
On the bright side, I though stethoscopes were useless, but after breaking into this bank and finding teleportation and probability travel, I’m always going to carry one.

What they do? I saw one in a FEMA camp a while back but I thought it was useless so I left it.

It allows to you open safes that are full of ridiculously awesome stoof. I have yet to find one playing fair and square. I loot two or three doctor offices and finally cheat and say “I SHOULD have found one by now, so debugging one in isn’t REALLY cheating.”

To be fair, ~9/10 of the banks I’ve been through have had nothing but gold and money bunches. And jewelers never have anything more, I’m pretty sure. I hate it when I’m stuck with all this gold.

I did that once when playing FF2(US). Full inventory, fight these weird critters, drop a weird colored tail thing, didn’t know what it was so left it.
Yeah, I’ve read about the Pink Tail. X-D Stethoscopes are much more common.
Note to self: Never walk hold down a walk key and get distracted, you will walk though a minefield, and miraculously not die.
I’d use an image as proof, but I only noticed immediately after the fact and took a pic there with the log.

Cleared a spider basement for the umpteenth million time that had two safes in it. Got pissed and debugged a stethoscope. First safe had a couple of ak’s, 1911’s, etc. Second safe had probably a little less than 500 rounds of assorted ammo for first safe’s findings. So yeah, I think a stethoscope is pretty useful personally.

[/quote]Rivet I laughed so hard I ran out of breath, started choking, fell out of my chair, and had to start crying to continue breathing.
I have not laughed like that in far, far too long. Thank you. XD
Remember that tank drone I punched to death while on fire?
I am now using it as a weapon…
How big are they supposed to be?

O_o O_o O_o …
Oh yeah? Well I just made a chicken walker friendly, and it is now shooting everything in sight with its 40mm launcher. Yeah… I’m going to stay in the Solar Roller.
EDIT: It walked up to the Solar Roller, tried to walk through it, shot at something, and blew itself up. So much for that.
EDIT2: MOTHERFUCKER BLEW UP ONE OF MY QUANTUM SOLARS

For the time being I replaced it with an upgraded. Later I got a new quantum, and just now I got a spare quantum just in case this happens again. Take that, Ninja.

Still in summer, having abandoned the refugee center after a bug in the second trader quest. A mine exploded one armored wheel i had, and i guess the wheel shielded me of most of the damage explosion, because i’m very well after that… now i’m searching a new wheel and stocking mutagen and purifiers
I was exploring the lab I started in, when I opened a door to a single 9mm turret.
I pretty much recreated the opening scene from robocop:
Head: 16 of 107
Torso: 8 of 107
Left Arm: 0 of 107
Right Arm: 45 of 107
Left Leg: 36 of 107
Right Leg: 98 of 107
I managed to crawl out of the doorway, close the door, and limp back to my shelter. Hope I’ve got enough lab techs to wait out the recovery…
Realizing the correlation between how successful my character is and how early I get a sewing kit, I’ve decided to use the Tailor starting profession. I’m noticing a large increase in my survivors’ lifespans now, all at the small cost of bumping my perception down 1, back to 8. (And not having amazing ballroom dancing skills.)
