Might have been, I think (not looking at it right now) I was running 1687. However, I rationalised it to myself that I should have taken the gear to mine my way out, and this was the game’s way of saying, “Always have a back-up plan.”
With my new survivor (on 1707ish) I’m trying a policy of minimal sleep, burning caffeine pills and cola to read through the nights. Had to run away from a Zombie Master and friends on day 1, stumbled across a wonderful wreckage on day 2 (3 MBRs, Kevlar Vest, fatigues, 2 leg drop pouches, military backpack). It all works out.
